Soundgarden

My daughter has been attending Sound Garden + for about a year now. She started right before she turned 1 yo. As for most parents it was very scary and stressful, I think I’ve cried the first couple of days more than she did. However, on the third day, she came in, saw her teacher and ran towards her, gave her a kiss and a hug! It was so heartwarming to see how happy my daughter was. Little kids feel the love and care they receive. Up until this day, she’s very excited every morning to go in and see her teacher and play with kids. They have different activities on a daily basis even for such babies as 1-2 year olds. Sensory activity, music, singing, reading, dancing and so much more, it sure helps these little cuties to be more social and confident! Also, I’d like to point out a very important aspect for me, which is food. They have their own kitchen on site, where the chef cooks fresh daily meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) from scratch. You don’t see a few different vendors delivering all sorts of food from all over the place. There were a couple of times we needed to pick up my daughter before they had dinner and asked for a plate to go. I’ve tried the food myself and it was delicious! The food is nutritious, well balanced, with grains, soups, vegetables and fruits. You won’t see a hot dog or a chicken nugget on the menu! Highly recommended Sound Garden for kids at any age and looking forward to see how my daughter grows and develops.

Both of my children attended Sound Garden, Wheeling. When I first toured the facility many years back, I was impressed by the very clean environment and kid friendly décor that provided a very warm and inviting atmosphere for the children. We were very fortunate to have wonderful, caring, and knowledgeable teachers who were patient with my kids in their learning journey. My children made lasting friendships throughout the years, which have extended into their elementary education. My children's favorite part of the day is the food - which is both delicious and nutritious and made on site. I always feel that teachers and daycare director listen to my concerns/thoughts and are available to talk via phone or in person. I will also say that the recitals are absolutely incredible, and I am always impressed by the rigor, attention to detail, and dedication that is put forth. My children were well prepared to advance into first grade with full knowledge of English with the added benefit of speaking fluent Russian.

My son has attended since he was 2. Last year we moved into a 10/10 public school neighborhood, but STILL opted to drive him to Soundgarden, and pay for their kindergarten program. I wish the daycare went beyond kindergarten! The program here is strong and well rounded. At 6 ,my son is reading novels, playing advance level chess, ballroom dancing , and doing 3rd grade math. Owners are trained musicians , so the arts program here is top notch. My son identified Vivaldi playing on the speaker at the Botanic Garden's, at the age of 4... which was quite the surprise considering we had never discussed classical composers up to that point. He is also reading analog clocks, counting currency , reciting poetry…. I SEE my money hard at work here. The staff is professional and warm. The facility is clean , meals and snacks are healthy and homemade. The money I’ve paid here over the last 4 years is a drop in the bucket compared with the value of preparation that my child has received going into 1st grade. Thank you SOUNDGARDEN!!
