My two sons have both been students at Sonshine - my oldest in just the most advanced daycare room and then for a year of full-day kindergarten (with before and after care) and my younger son since his very first day of care as a 3-month old infant. I have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about the staff, the leadership, and the fellow parents at this school, and recommend it wholeheartedly (well, along with the state, as they have 4 Keystone Stars and keep up those standards every day!) We're staying on for Kindergarten with my youngest, too, since our district only has half-day K and my older son absolutely THRIVED in Kindergarten there and was incredibly/beyond well prepared for a full day of school in 1st grade.

This review is soooooo pass due! I can’t start by saying how much my son and I love this school! I want to give some love to his pass teacher (Miss Julia) thank you for the one on one and also preparing my child for kindergarten 🙌🏽. This is a small school. They teach all the fundamental to prepare your child for the upcoming year. The classes are small enough for one on one support, which my child needed… The staff are all so polite and friendly. My child learned so much here and also met some great new friends in between, and so did I😉

In the beginning I was very pleased with the overall appearance of Sonshine and the friendliness of the staff. However, over time, my opinion changed radically. I had the unfortunate experience of arriving unannounced and noticed one of the staff grab a child very roughly and practically slam her into a seat. Additionally, I noticed that during snack time the staff member didn't bother leaving her seat to pass out the snack, but instead actually threw them across the table at the children. More than once I arrived to pick up my child and found that his diapers were dirty and he had diaper rash. Those are merely several examples of the disappointing aspects of Sonshine. In spite of the great looking facilities and the well spoken staff, I regretfully am not able to recommend Sonshine as a place that I would now feel comfortable leaving my child.

Thank you Ms. Margie, Ms. Iris, Ms. Chrissy, and the whole staff, for always alway having a real genuine smile with love, and a lovely greeting, when I stop by to drop something off, and you all have so much love for the children, I'm bless everytime I'm in the presence of you all at Sonshine Christian Academy.
