Something To Build Upon INC

So recently I have been trying to get my daughter signed up for Early Care due to me being a government worker I had to report back to work short notice I've been calling since Friday 03/14/25 also emailed which the voicemail states "if you need an immediate response to please email" and I've done that also. Still no response I go up to the school on Friday and security calls the person in charge and they rather speak to me through the security and told security to tell me that you would get back to me by end of business that day. Even today 03/17/25 my fiancé goes to the school and asked another security guard to reach out still no response. For my child's teacher to stop you in the hallway and inform you that I needed to speak with you and instead of just simply letting me know if my daughter could attend their Early Care or not. I wouldn't recommend and my daughter will not be going back to Beasley next year. I can just image how you would treat my child.

Something to Build Upon is an excellent program. My daughter loves being in the before and after care program. She receives help with homework which is great because I don't always have time to help. They also offer students free time to play and an afternoon snack. The staff is amazing and wonderful with children. The staff is always on time and willing to accommodate parents who may not be so punctual. They go on end of the year trips as well as put on a program to showcase what they've done throughout the year. If you need before, after school or summer programming for your child Something to Build Upon is a great choice!

My daughter has attended Something to Build Upon after school program and summer camp for the past 3 years. The director Ms. Christina and support staff are absolutely awesome. Ms. Christina really gets to know your child as an individual and gives personalized attention. The camp always had engaging activities and fun field trips. Most importantly, the swimming program she has them involved in will have your child swimming by the end of the summer! Highly recommend.

My son has participated in Something to Build Upon’s afterschool program for 4 years now at his school. I love the convenience and the variety of engaging programming he gets the opportunity to participate in like violin, chess, dance and art. He also gets homework help! Ms. Christina is invested in the kid’s growth and holds high expectations for them. She has since expanded her program to other schools across the city. This woman of color owned business is such a gift to the kids!

Something to Build Upon is an Amazing Program! Everyday my daughter comes home happy to share what she has learned in After-school. Not only does she have fun but she gets one on one attention from each teacher with her homework. The professionalism and sincere level of care is outstanding. I do not know what I would do without this program! I am a full-time working mother who although needs after-school is still very concerned about safety and quality. Something to build upon offers all of that and more!
