Small facility compared to other Y's, but they were accommodating for a kids birthday party. Pool is large. Multiple locker rooms, including a family one.
Smithfield YMCA has been great for both after-school care and summer camp. Spots fill up so fast for a reason! They are organized, communicative, and really try to structure activities so the kids have a great time. Highly recommend!
I joined this week and am just blown away at how nice everyone has been. From my first entering the building, Cathy took that extra effort to explain the programs and to show me around. Torie oriented me to the E-Gym equipment and gave thorough and clear instructions. Love the E-Gym!
Very humid!!! Bring a bottle of water if your going to spectate! Shame on me! I should have known! I brought my boys to a birthday party, it was awesome! The pool is huge, and the kids had a lot of fun! I just wish I had brought a water bottle with me because I must have lost about 30 pounds of water weight just watching the boys swim because of how hot it is in the pool area! I'm definitely thinking about signing up for a family plan for a couple of months. It's a very convenient location!!
I just joined this week. The staff are friendly and most helpful. I was trained on the egym equipment by Dave. He took time with me explaining how to use each machine. I am so excited to be a member and looking forward to taking advantage of all the facility has to offer.
