What Parents Say
Small Miracle Childcare receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with parents praising the caring staff, educational environment, and their children's happiness and development. One negative review criticized management decisions regarding facility closures, dietary preferences, and handling of parental concerns.
I absolutely love Small Miracle. After having my child attend at another child care facility - he did not do well there and I saw how poorly the other center ran and knew I needed to find somewhere better. We toured here at small miracle and immediately knew it was perfect. They are very accommodating to allergies, and allow us to bring in foods I need for him and help communicate the foods he can have each week. Within 3 days of starting here my son was excited to go and willingly went into daycare and his classrooms - something we didnt get at the old center. After being here for some months now, he still loves it. The staff are very kind and helpful, and he loves his teachers, Especially Miss Amber. I have loved watching him learn at school, and love that they have the indoor gym for when the weather is bad. Overall have loved our experience here and recommend them to every parent! We couldnt have found a better center.
I could not be any more pleased with this center. The staff is friendly and professional. They seem to genuinely care about each child. Our son has been enrolled for 6 months and I am so grateful he's in a structured, educational environment that he enjoys going to each day. 2020 presented unique challenges for everyone, but the administration allowed for flexibility to meet the needs of their students and parents alike. Had we been enrolled at a center that did not handle it as well, we would have faced some very difficult decisions. I'd recommend this center to any of my friends or family.
I just wanted to share a huge thank you to the staff and teachers at Small Miracles off 180th and Dodge. Firstly, to Miss Christina and Miss Melissa at the front desk. Always a friendly smile to start and end the day and always greeted myself and Jane even if she was too tired in the morning to reply back. Secondly to Miss Selina and Miss Britney. Jane loved you both so much and I really appreciate your patience as she adjusted to daycare at the beginning and I know she missed your room when she transitioned up. And finally thank you to Miss Stephanie and Miss Jamie. You each also helped Jane with transitions to new rooms and taught her new skills that she brought home and impressed us with. I 100% contribute Jane's vocabulary and creativeness to what she learned in all these classrooms.
EDIT: We didn't know how bad Small Miracle was until we moved to another preschool. While the teachers were generally good, the management was poor. The director would frequently close down the facility early despite the advertised hours, causing inconvenience for working parents. They once even closed down IN THE MIDDLE of a severe thunderstorm, forcing parents to brave the wind, rain, and zero visibility to come retrieve their children. SM gives parents paperwork to indicate diet preferences for their children--my wife and I indicated a limit on sweets and treats, which SM used excessively as rewards throughout the day--but, this was rarely followed as our children were still picked up with colorful skittles or m&m smears on their faces regularly. Feedback was not received well by management, we instead were met with accusations of "rudeness". The last straw was when we raised the issue with the owner about the harmful effects of prolonged masking--i.e. stunted social and language development--on young children who themselves have extremely low risk from COVID. This heresy apparantly warranted an immediate expulsion from Small Miracle. We are just shocked at how disinterested the Owner was in hearing our perspective. Ultimately, it worked out for the better as we have found a better learning environment for our children with a management that is much more receptive and responsive.
All of our kids have gone here. The first is excelling in elementary school because she was so prepared. Our other 2 still go there and we absolutely love the staff. They’re always responsive, keep us updated on the class happenings and very reliable.
