We have enjoyed becoming part of the SS family! We have been very lucky to have such a wonderful center during these challenging times we have all been going through. Teachers haven’t missed a beat. Directors always very informative, which is key for our profession, Just a simple shout out to them all, including these small business owners trying to stay afloat! My daughter went to Shining Stars for more than a year. When she joined she didn't know English. After a year, she spoke well in English and she even started reading. The play area is good. Nice personal care. She really enjoyed each and everyday at school. She always mentions about Isabelle, Stephie, Alex and Jasmine. Thanks for the friendly staff.
This is a great and reliable daycare. My daughter started here at 10 weeks old and was very well cared for. I appreciated the pictures and updates which is VERY important for new, first time mothers. The infant room is colorful, cozy and welcoming. Special shoutout to Skyla and Teresa - they are stars.
Not a good daycare at all. Avoid at all costs. They are understaffed, and have no experience working with children with trauma or those in the foster care system! Not sure why they still have a license to care for any child. Unprofessional and not willing to learn more about children who are different in any way and need some extra room to grow. Sad. Would give zero stars but need to warn other people that if your child has difficulty with change or has been through past trauma DO NOT GO HERE!! They can’t recognize when they are triggering a child and instead set them up for failure by promoting an environment in which bad behavior is rewarded by the child getting what they want. Learn more about children who can manipulate easily! Teach your staff to redirect by using focusing activities instead of sending the child home because you refuse to learn more about the things causing the issue!
They are understaffed for the number of children they care for, one of the staff members admitted this to me on multiple occasions. Also, children are not supervised during naptimes, as they should be- very dangerous. Director is unpleasant, and unreasonable.
