Shaw'S Child Care

I honestly do not give this childcare a one star. The owner Angela shaw and her daughter has to be the worst people I have ever encountered and have worked for. Angela is all about money and nothing else. She pretends to care about u and the children but can careless. The facility is covered in roaches. People can walk in and out at anytime bc half the doors don't shut completely. I worked there a couple mths and regretted every moment. She uses the workers to her full advantage. She aslo had me work the kitchen and poured boiling water in the sink for me to wash dishes. My niece was only suppose to attend with me for one day bc I had no sitter and she made me fill out paperwork and put her as full time. She would not allow her her pacifier at all not even napping. The girls were not allowed to sit with their legs crossed. During the winter the kids couldn't come in with their hats on. Please do not send ur kids or even start working for her.

When you first arrive here at Shaw's they make sure to give you the first GOOD impression but after that..... You will want to Steer clear of this center. Director does NOT care for the children nor does she do what is in the best interest of the children. Angela Shaw only cares about her money. She will make you pay an outrageous amount of money but in return- your children will be playing with a small selection of toys either on the carpet or at the table. Very few clean, in good shape toys. Plenty of times they will bring a tablet in the classroom and make all of the children sit and watch with no talking. Slim to no educational activities done daily. As an employee- when asking for more supplies- she never brings them. Angela is never in the center and when you try to talk to her- she finds anything to throw back at you to make you look like the bad person. She doesn't pay her staff for what they are worth and want them to slave and clean every crack and crevis of her building but yet she is never there and staff to child ratios are usually off. Shaw's 7 children also work here and they follow right underneath of their mother, Angela. Shaw's Childcare is very Unprofessional, non - educational and dirty, and greedy.

I absolutely love this daycare. They are open 24 hours a day and very reasonable. The staff is all very friendly and extremely professional. My son seems very well taken care of and everyone there has a genuine interest in the children. My son is always fed healthy food and comes home happy. Mrs. Shaw seems very strict with her employees but loving towards the children.

This daycare is aweful the children come second. My kids went there for a few years and my son would come home in his sisters diapers at 5 years old that he was in for so long he would have a rash so bad he was bleeding. This happened several times. They dont stop other kids bad behaviors and are rude to them. The owner has to be the worse though. She will take full advantage of you and your situation making you think at first she is on your side but screws you. Doesnt tell you for a good month if not more if you childcare assistance has ended and lets your bill get so high its insane and all while you are still paying her weekly high amounts. She had be start working there and i still had to pay for daycare along with several weeks of not being paid at all. Then when my taxes would come i had to give her everything. She will also dwell into your personal life acting like shes trying to help you and will manipulate you to benefit her. Along with how i saw the daycare ran while working there and how her kids come first and she will leave them there with you while she goes to her exercise classes and going out to eat including her disabled daughter who no one there is trained to work with and is mean to the other children around her and they let her do whatever she pleases. They way they run this place is unbelievable and i don't know how it is still open. Please for the best interest of your children dont take them here.

Worst daycare ever!!! I personally know Mrs. Shaw's husband (he was a teacher of mine in high school) and had high expectations, but was disturbed by the level of aggression of the owner Mrs. Shaw. On multiple occasions I witnessed my son being bullied and verbally mistreated by other children at the daycare (more so than what one would expect from any child) and not a single teacher did anything to stop the misbehavior much less acknowledge the fact that it was happening in the first place. These are just a few examples of the numerous issues my fiance and I had with this specific child care. To top it all off she will nickle and dime you for ever penny you'r worth (and then some). You will also get the distinct impression that her childcare is about money first and children last, even though she says differently. Fair warning and stay away!!!!!!
