Shannon'S Child Development Center

Working and studying at UL Lafayette years prior to having my own children, I knew the reputation of the UL CDC was extremely positive. Both of my children now attend the center (and have since the week they turned one). The teachers and staff have gone above and beyond my expectations. My oldest, who is now four, adores going to "school." The hands-on and learning that takes place keeps his curious mind engaged. Not only is the education and learning exceptional, but the care the children receive is second to none. I am consistently impressed with how well the teachers and staff know my children, even teachers of other classes. This seems to be the case for all of the children at the center. They take education and care to another level, teaching valuable social and life skills. I credit so much of my children's adaptability and curiosity to the CDC. They nurture the children's playful spirits, while also setting reasonable expectations on respecting others and rule following. The teachers and staff love what they do and it is evident. As a bonus, the facilities are top-notch. I know the day my oldest son leaves will be a sad day. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to send our children to the Child Development Center.

I cannot say enough good things about UL Lafayette's Child Development Center. When my daughter started in the toddler class I was nervous because she'd only ever been with me. The staff was incredible and by the end of the first day she was so attached to her teachers. They even put up with me randomly stopping by and calling every day the first week. LOL. Every class she's been in as she's progressed has been amazing. She's learning so much and is becoming so social. This place is exceptional. I love that when we walk through the building everyone adult, including the director, knows my child's name and mine. Any question I've had has been addressed immediately. All of the administration is very responsive. If I email anyone there I get a response in a couple of hours. Everyone is friendly, the facility is clean and engaging, and the events they through for families are such a fun time. Can't wait for my youngest to start this fall!

The staff here is amazing. My daughter absolutely loved going here. The whole facility is extremely clean and there are so many great activities to prepare your little ones to put on their big kid pants and step into kindergarten.

This place literally changed our lives. My daughter was having such a rough time adjusting to school. Two other schools were not a good fit, she was developing a biting issue and none of the daycares wanted to deal with it. We started here when she was 2 and they were so patient, worked with her one on one daily to redirect that behavior and create healthier habits. She’s thriving here and this place has become such a blessing. Couldn’t recommended more!!!

I totally love UL CDC for my son. All teachers and staff have been super awesome to him since he turned 1. He looooves school and he has learnt and grown so much. Would definitely recommend this daycare without any reservations.
