During the past several years I have had the occasion to work with several individuals,including Deacons, Choir members, Senior Pastor and Staff within the Santa Rosa Community Church. I have found them to be professional, honest trustworthy and above & beyond reproach. My suspicious is that vankilpatric was associated with the contemporary service that was dis-banded. Give this Church strong consideration if you and family are seeking a traditional service conducted in a beautiful setting with dedicated spiritual leadership.
This church is above reproach in that they always do the best they can to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry and in purpose. It always amazes me that some people can be hateful, however we have always accepted all people with open arms though never were we a "sugar daddy church" giving people what they want verses what we believe God wants. Any person can come into our midst complaining and we will listen because we are a loving congregation. However if you expect things to be done especially for you you will be surprised. God is our director you can argue with us but it is a waste of time it argue with God.
If you are looking for a contemporary worship go somewhere else. This church just fired their contemporary pastor and closed down the entire service because they "Felt it was what the Lord wanted them to do". Truth is, the Sr pastor and a few deacons were insecure with the success and growth of the contemporary service and decided to shut it down before it got any larger. This is the 4th time that the same thing has happened to the contemporary service at Community Church. If you are looking for a new church in the Santa Rosa Beach area I would strongly advise finding somewhere else to go. Even if you prefer the traditional type of worship the leadership of this church is corrupt.
I have been a member of Santa Rosa Beach Community Church for 10 years. We visited many churches in the Destin, Miramar Beach, and Santa Rosa Beach and found Community Church to be the friendliest most caring church in the area. We enjoy the traditional service and emphasis on living and sharing God's Word.
Family friendly church. Members very welcoming to all that come. Caring and enthusiast church staff. Would recommend, even if only in town for the week and temporarily displaced from your home church.
