Good food, and generous portions...
Thank you for all that u do!! It means so much for those in need.
Some of the food quality could be better
They don't sell clothing or household goods or whatever. But they do have a very nice food bank. The people at the front desk are very helpful. Someone was able to come to my car to get a large donation of food that I had collected in our apartment building for the month of March. It was extremely helpful because I am a handicapped person and was not going to be able to get the groceries delivered without their help.
They sometimes have a free cart of great food and treats but you have to go and sit for a while just to be able to get anything to many others take everything and come back and take more over and over again. They go to all of the food shelves taking and taking everything they leave nothing for others.Matter of fact the staff who work for salvation army allow them to open the food from the cart and eat some of it but the staff doesn't take what has been open from the free cart they leave it there for others to take or eat from it don't they know what they are doing is not healthy for the rest of the people who are trying to feed their own family or is it that they really just don't care about your health by what they allow so I am going to ask that if you choose to go there for anything be very very careful about what you pick up please be very very careful as well as watch what you take make sure it's sealed before you take it and please be mindful that there are others who could use some of the free food it maybe the only way they can have a meal and please remember to bring a bag a take only what you can use as well as take only what they say not more than that
