Saints Constantine And Helen Academy

Father Angelo is amazing. I'm not Greek, or orthodox or religious in anyway, but was treated as if I had been a long-standing member of this church and regularly donated. I called three different Greek churches before I cold called this one desperately trying to find a priest that could do last prayers for my very dear friend in the hospital on hospice. The woman in the office (who I won't even try to spell the name, I'm so sorry) who answered the phone was very sweet and helpful in educating me what the traditions were, and what I needed in order to meet her wishes. When I read her exactly what the paperwork said she was able to translate what was expected to someone like me (who wouldn't know). Then Father Angelo called me within a few hours and rushed over to the hospital to do the ceremony. He was endlessly patient allowing other friends, her chosen family and even her cats to participate on a FaceTime call for the service and treated my person with more dignity and respect than her own biological, "family," did during this process. I was so impressed by him that I, a devout atheist and very 'anti-organized religion' beliefs person actually watched multiple services from this church on their YouTube channel and found comfort in it. Father Angelo is a whole vibe making me not hate priests anymore because he's just oozing positivity and light. He saw my connection with my friend who was days away from leaving this earth at the time and she loved that he noticed I was her baby. He made several comments that made her very happy and responsive showing just how intuitive and connected he is with some sort of positive spirit. He then followed up a few days after because there is another ceremony that needed to be completed after she passed (which I didn't even know about). So in the middle of the night he returned to the hospital for a second time and did that ensuring that all the last rights of the Greek Orthodox Church were administered to her despite not knowing any of us. A few weeks after she passed he checked on us again and invited us to the Greek Festival Fundraiser hosted at their church which we attended yesterday and donated to in her honor. Despite having hundreds of people there he went out of his way to find us in the dance instruction area and say, "hello." And like I said, we are just nobody's who didn't even realize how much we needed the support as caregivers from this church that we still haven't received from her, "family." If this is how strangers are treated by this organization I'm sure members of this church are held on a pedestal.

Beautiful church and today was the Greek festival, lots of great music and food!

These volunteers rock! They put on a great Greek Festival! The dancing classes are fun! The parties are amazing! Clean bathrooms, water refill stations, free parking, a fun photo booth, and shopping. The food was delicious! I can't wait for next year!

Annual Greek festival is nice here.great Greek music ( acoustics were a bit off and a bit loud ) but nonetheless very entertaining. Traditional dancing and instruments were fabulous. Folkloric dances are always a treat . Tents, shades , free water fill locations, lots of parking were well organized . The food was very authentic and delicious( visited Greece many times before ). I chose lamb, green beans and pastry filled with cheese . I gathered few more international friends to go with me, we enjoyed the cultural experience . Young kids’ folkloric dance was my highlight of the festival.

Faith is a highly personal and subjective construct, thus the only fair way to evaluate a place of worship is to focus on how its congregation extends kindness and beneficence to others. We were so pleased with the warm welcome, helpful staff, beautiful architecture, and overall contemplative atmosphere at Saints Constantine and Helen church. If you're of the Christian faith, or considering it, this seems like a wonderful place to worship.
