St. Timothy Presbyterian Church is, by far, the most exception church I have ever had the honor of attending! My husband and I have been going to St. Timothy’s for probably 3 years now and we feel like we have found a place where we belong; another home, if you will? All people of all faiths are welcome and, unlike some Christian churches, everyone is encouraged to participate in Holy Comunion if they wish. As it should be, no one is ever left out! Children are invited to attend the main service with their parents and after a much anticipated children sermon named ”Time With Little Disciples”, they are invited to fun and interesting, age defined Sunday school classes. The service lasts only a bit over an hour; an hour during which my mind, heart and soul are drenched with love and inspiration! Kevin Henson, our tremendous, personable, well educated minister, speaks words of wisdom to us all while his thought-provoking topics make me think and contemplate the way I look at my world. Sarah, who shares her magical voice and leads us in song never disappoint and friends are plentiful and nearby! St. Timothy’s is, indeed, a place of joy and positivity! St. Timothy’s is a lovely traditional church with a choir, hymnals and new pews. The sanctuary has just been updated which included carpet, windows, paint and pews. The new pews have room for wheel chairs on the left and right side of the sanctuary and easy access ends on those pews so folks can slide off a wheelchair and onto a pew easily. Highly recommended.
This church has an excellent heart for people. The pastor is down-to-earth, intelligent, and friendly. The pre-school is an excellent program with a really great staff, many of whom have been there for quite some time. The office leadership are really amazing. I have had one child and one grandchild go through the program, and have a grandchild currently enrolled.
The people and pastor at the church are very welcoming. We have attended about 6 times and participated in a couple outreach programs sponsored by the church. Seems very genuine, caring and truly Christian. Everybody knows everybody and it is much smaller and more intimate than the megachurches. The service style is more traditional which I like. Service is an hour on Sundays at 10:30. If you are looking for a church I recommend you visit.
