Our experience with Tomorrow Stars has been extremely disappointing from the very beginning. My son, who is 5 years old and on the autism spectrum, attended this daycare for over two years. Despite the challenges of finding an affordable, quality daycare, I stayed due to limited options, but in hindsight, I regret not seeking out a better fit for my child. The owner, Tika, is consistently rude and unprofessional. Every interaction with her felt dismissive and condescending, especially when I tried to communicate my child's needs. When there were issues or concerns, I was met with a defensive attitude instead of any real attempt to understand or address the situation. It became clear that Tika and her staff lacked the patience and understanding needed to work with children on the spectrum. One of the most troubling aspects of this daycare is that there is no clear separation of children by age or developmental needs. Kids are often grouped together in the same room, which can make it difficult for children who need extra attention or support, like my son, to thrive. When my child struggled with transitions, instead of offering support, they would immediately ask me to pick him up, leaving me with no choice but to disrupt my work schedule. My son's IEP was never requested, and there was no attempt to collaborate with his teachers or figure out ways to help him during challenging moments. Despite indicating on his application that he is on the spectrum, the daycare didn't make any accommodations or even inquire about how best to support him. On several occasions, my son came home with concerns about the behavior of staff members. For example, he once mentioned hearing Tika use inappropriate language on the phone, which raised major red flags about the professionalism of the staff. There have also been numerous times when I showed up to drop my son off, only to find the daycare unexpectedly closed, with no notice given to parents. When I reached out for a solution, I was met with a disrespectful response from management. The last straw was when my son was labeled a "safety hazard" after his first fire drill. He didn’t understand the importance of the drill and was just trying to play, but instead of helping him learn, the daycare refused to allow him to return the following day. At pick-up, my mom was told that my son had been "terrible," which felt more like an excuse than an attempt to help him work through his challenges. Additionally, the staff is very young, and there seems to be no proper rotation between classes or activities to keep the kids engaged. While the daycare is affordable, the lack of proper care and attention makes it clear that you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a daycare that truly understands and supports your child’s individual needs, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere. My son deserves better, and so does every other child at this facility.
For everyone disgruntled parent there are 10 who will disagree. Every review that has been made is by a parent who didn't get their way! The county was called and no substantial evidence was found!! Because the staff genuinely cares about the families who are in the center. It's sad that hurt people would go so far to ruin someone's reputation and business.
