What Parents Say
Rose Garden Early Childhood Center receives consistently high praise from parents. The facility is known for its nature-based, play-focused curriculum, warm and knowledgeable staff, emphasis on outdoor learning, and supportive environment for diverse learners including bilingual children.
This is quite possibly the best place to send your child. Our education is based on nature, free play, imagination, reading at will, and lots of love, comfort, & laughter. Believe me when I tell you that children can't wait to come back after a weekend to see their teachers and friends. Our yard is quite large and equipped for loads of fun. You won't regret sending your child to TRG.
The Rose Garden is a magical place. My son has been here since October and everyday I just find more reasons why this was best choice for him and our family! The teachers and staff are so warm and friendly, the ambiance is calm and inviting, the food is delicious and nutrient dense, the children are so happy and engaged in so many developmentally appropriate activities. As a former early childhood educator, I appreciate how they respect and nurture a child’s development and unique gifts. I am so happy we chose The Rose Garden as his first school.
The Rose Garden has been a welcoming, warm, thoughtful place for my 2-year old son, and he is excited to go there every day. The emphasis on outdoor play sets this program apart from most others in the area. With warm layers on, the kids have a ball playing outside, digging in the dirt, being creative and learning from the world as they naturally want to do. The teachers and staff are kind and promote a calm atmosphere for the kids. It is a truly special place!
As many parents know, finding a childcare facility that aligns with your values can be a daunting task. For our family, this was exacerbated by the fact that we are new to the city of Buffalo and also raising a bilingual child. During our search, we encountered schools that mentioned special education evaluations without even meeting him. This all happened because he happened to speak another language! As someone with a background in Special Education, this was horrifying. Other places were more accepting of bilingualism, but did not value play based and social emotional learning or enforced potty training. After all of these experiences, walking into the Rose Garden felt like a breath of fresh air. The teachers are knowledgeable and kind, the classrooms are inviting and they value experiential learning over rote learning. They honor where their students are in life and do their best to provide an environment where they can flourish. In addition to that I feel good knowing that the Rose Garden is a cooperative, which means that many of the staff members are worker-owners and the ones that are not are paid a living wage.
Our 3 year old loves it here. The Rose Garden is such a calm and soothing atmosphere. The amount outdoor time the kids get is such a huge bonus.
