Our twins boys have loved rock n' roll since they started, they are always excited to go to school, and they come home singing and dancing. The teachers and staff are really wonderful and caring. Jenna and the crew in the toddler room is amazing and Chris and Nicole have been building a really cool school, that is great for kids. Also the catered food is wonderful and makes life so much easier. A great place, looking forward to pre-school with Amber.

I am writing to share my experiences and concerns as a former member of the Rock and Roll Daycare community, where my family was enrolled for nearly two years. Unfortunately, due to persistent health and safety concerns, we made the difficult decision to withdraw from the center. I believe it is crucial to provide feedback on our experience in the hope of fostering positive change. Throughout our time at Rock and Roll Daycare, I observed various issues that deeply troubled me, particularly in the context of the challenging year that was 2023. I feel compelled to express my serious reservations about the compromise in the safety of both children and staff. From my perspective, the administration displayed a consistent pattern of poor communication, selective omission of details to serve their interests, and an overall lack of organization. Regrettably, it seemed that the staff was not treated well, and there was an alarming level of vindictiveness, creating a hostile environment that, I believe, is not conducive to effective teaching and caregiving. One notable example of this disconcerting pattern was the handling of a rodent infestation at the Central Square location, which began in April 2023. Shockingly, parents were not informed of this issue until November 2023, leaving staff and children to contend with rodent-related problems for a staggering seven months. The delayed communication on such a critical matter raises serious concerns about transparency and the well-being of the children and staff. The closure of the Central Square location became inevitable due to the persistent rodent issue. However, the administration was notably absent during this critical period. Despite numerous requests for direct communication with the owners and executive team, parents were consistently denied such interaction. It appeared as though there was a reluctance to confront parents directly and address the concerns and next steps. Rather than the owners engaging with the community as a whole, they chose to deflect blame to the directors and staff of the center via e-mail, instead of owning up to their mistakes. Moreover, it was disheartening to witness the implosion of the Rock and Roll Central Square team and community, which had initially been characterized by a deep commitment to the children and a focus on education rather than mere childcare provision. The team diligently adhered to protocols, ensuring the safety of the children and fostering a strong sense of community. Instead of being praised for their efforts, they were either terminated or displaced to a new location. In contrast, the administration's failure to follow EEC protocols and their own manuals/handbooks became glaringly apparent in day-to-day operations. This lack of adherence to established guidelines and the subsequent impact on the well-being of the community is deeply troubling. In conclusion, I implore the owners and executive team to reflect on the concerns raised in this review and take decisive action to address the systemic issues that have compromised the well-being of both staff and children. I believe that with the right changes and a renewed commitment to transparency and communication, JAMI Rock and Roll Daycare can once again become a safe and nurturing space for families.

Montessori and Music are the two focal points of this center. My child had a great experience here. Teachers were caring and knowledgeable, and my son had a lot of fun coming to school each day. I really liked the music events, which happen pretty frequently. Meal program was a nice bonus as well.

There are probably a lot of amazing caregivers at Rock and Roll and our issue stems mainly from one teacher in the infant room at the central square location but it's clear that the people on the top didn't really care about our baby or our complaints, which were: 1. My son was left alone to cry for the majority of his time there. I know because they provide live camera access. Had I not had the camera I would have known something was wrong because even after two weeks he would cry when he saw me and would often have red eyes at pick up. After the first week I asked them to help him with this transition by checking in with him. They sat with him for one day then it was back to leaving him alone. 2. A week and a half in, he came home with a burst blood vessel in his eye. I had been watching the cameras a lot at this point and he didn't have any toys, he was just sitting and crying all day. The teachers were sitting with the calm babies (all other babies in the room were older than him by at least a month or two). At this point I brought it up with the teacher at dropoff the next morning and was told that he had just "worked himself up", crying this much was normal, that he just wants to be held all day and that they were taking care of the other babies. So I thought maybe I was overreacting... 3. During the 3rd week he started to develop a bad diaper rash. The worst I have ever seen on him. I treated it frequently at home and it kept getting worse. After 3 days I asked them if they noticed it and the teacher barely responded so I asked if she could please use the diaper cream directly on the rash at every diaper change (shouldn't this be obvious?). When they started treating it, it cleared up. 4. The final straw was during the third week when he was again alone crying on the corner of the play mat while the teacher was sitting with two other babies and I saw her walk over, pick him up off the ground by one arm to bring him closer to her. She looked annoyed at HIM. When I gave a detailed complaint to the director she was kind and apologized but also made some excuses. She said leadership would reach out to me and they never did. I hope this is just a bad teacher at one location but I felt that my suggestions and eventual complaints were ignored so I couldn't trust them with my baby anymore.
