What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Robinhood Montessori for its authentic Montessori approach, clean and well-prepared environment, and genuinely caring staff who treat children as individuals. Families report their children are excited to attend, show significant developmental growth, and thrive in the mixed-age, hands-on learning environment. Multiple parents describe the school as a 'home away from home' with leadership that goes above and beyond expectations.
Our Family's True Home Away from Home We've had both of our children attending Robinhood Montessori since they were each ~2 years old—our son (now 5) for three years and our daughter (now 2) for the past 6 months. What a blessing it's been! From the moment they walk in, the environment feels truly special: spotlessly clean, beautifully prepared with authentic Montessori materials, and filled with a calm, respectful energy that honors Dr. Maria Montessori's original philosophy. The teachers are incredibly loving and attentive—they genuinely care about each child as an individual. They guide with patience, encourage independence, and foster that deep respect for the child's natural development that Maria Montessori envisioned. There's no rushing, no forced group activities that don't fit; instead, the children are free to explore at their own pace, building confidence, concentration, and a real love of learning. We've seen our son blossom into a thoughtful, capable little boy who takes pride in his work, and our daughter is already showing the same joyful curiosity. We've visited at least three other Montessori programs in our area, and none come close. This school truly embodies the founder's principles—mixed-age classrooms, hands-on materials, freedom within limits, and a focus on the whole child—without any shortcuts. A huge part of what makes this place exceptional is the team of caring teachers and leaders. They are warm, approachable, and deeply invested in every family. They've taken the time to understand our children's unique personalities and our family's needs, offering thoughtful advice, flexibility when life gets busy, and genuine support beyond just the classroom. Whether it's a quick chat about progress, help with transitions, or simply making us feel heard and valued, they go above and beyond. It's rare to find leaders who feel like extended family. If you're looking for a Montessori that truly lives up to its name—one that's nurturing, authentic, and transformative for your children—this is it. We couldn't recommend it more highly. Our kids thrive here, and so does our peace of mind as parents. Thank you for everything you do!
“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.” They say it takes a village to raise children That is exactly what Robin Hood Montessori school is to our family “our little village.” Without their help, I don’t know what I would have done throughout the years. Everything that Robin Hood Montessori has offered us has been absolutely wonderful from potty training and the baby room to exploring and moving up with the older friends. Learning has become a wonderful experience at Robin Hood. My children love to go to school and see their teachers, they love to learn and seeing them grow and learn new things each and every day has been a joy. We are so pleased, and thankful that we came across this wonderful school. We will always have a special place in our heart for Robin Hood Montessori school.
When my family moved to Orange County from San Francisco our priority was to find the perfect preschool for our girls. I have been a teacher and administrator in private education for over ten years and when I found the Robin Hood Montessori website, I was immediately impressed. I spoke to Ramona and was excited to meet with her to discuss her educational philosophy and mission. Ramona's vision and enthusiasm spreads throughout her staff and all of her students. The Robin Hood faculty maintains an extremely organized, clean, happy and loving environment that enables the children to learn and grow. I sent my older daughter part time at first, while I stayed home with my infant. After a few months of observing the school environment, attending field trips and experiencing my daughters growth and happiness, I felt comfortable enough to send my infant to Robin Hood and go back to work again. My husband and I were able to have peace of mind when we dropped our daughters off for the day while we set off to work - and this peace is priceless. My girls have grown to see the world with big eyes. Curious and excited to learn and develop, my girls are aware of their surroundings, empathetic to their environment, comfortable with themselves and thoughtful to others around them. This is the product of Robin Hood Montessori. Now, we are moving back to San Francisco and our only regret is that Robin Hood can't come home with us. Our girls have had such a unique experience and our family developed a community within the school. I am so proud that we found Robin Hood and wish this experience for those who seek such an opportunity.
The day Robin Hood had an opening for my daughter to be enrolled into the sunshine room, was the day my family experienced the biggest blessing! Unfortunately prior to the opening at Robin Hood, we had two horrible in-home daycare experiences after we thought we had vetted the caregiver to the best of our ability. For months, we picked up our daughter from the in-home daycare where she had been crying all day. It was awful. Today, I tell my family and friends that my 20 month old daughter thinks Robin Hood is her family, and we are just her caregivers. My daughter looks forward to going to Robin Hood every single day- I watch her run to the door and greet her teachers with a hug. We pick her up, and she is all smiles- happy and healthy. Now let me dive into her development since she has attended Robin Hood (she started in August 2016). She has interest in animals, books and drawings. She does not need tablets, phones and screen time to be entertained, rather she loves her books and animal figures. She is social, polite and loving- these are all attributes she has developed at Robin Hood. My husband and I are constantly complimented on how well mannered she is for a toddler and we always respond with, "We can't take the credit, she attends an amazing Montessori." The toddlers at Robin Hood are more well mannered than adults I come across in public places- it's pretty impressive! The Staff is absolutely amazing- hands down, the most loving, kind, patient Teachers I have witnessed. They will wave hello to you even if they are in far distance and every teacher knows your name even if your child is not in their classroom. We are so proud to say Robin Hood is our family, it is truly a privilege and honor to have our daughter attend a school with such great, respectful and academically/socially well rounded environment. We never have to question the safety or well being of my child there, we have never been at such ease. Thank you Robin Hood, for taking such good care of our loved ones! I wish I could rate this review more than 5 stars, we are SO lucky to have our daughter in your school!
Our son started going to RHM in august and we absolutely love him being a part of this Montessori. The environment is just perfect for children of all ages to learn at the highest level. All of the staff is super professional and very caring for all of the students, it's all very genuine! As first time parents we have the highest expectations for a school taking care of our son and Robin Hood Montessori surpasses them all! During our sons first 2 weeks of attending RHM we would receive text message updates with pictures throughout the day to help out us at ease! We would recommended RHM to all my friends and family looking for a school to take their children to! Thank you Robin Hood for making this transition easy for us and know our son is in great hands!
