Rising Sun Montessori School

We absolutely love Rising Sun Montessori School!! Our child has been attending this preschool for almost 2 years and we have been so pleased with everything this school has to offer. The owner, Carolina, is incredible with the children. She is patient, knowledgeable, kind, and very welcoming. The same is true of the other teachers as well. They are very accommodating of each family's needs and they make our child feel very safe. I feel very comfortable leaving my child in their care. They provide an excellent early education and wonderful social skill-building. At pick-up, my child often doesn't want to leave school because she is having so much fun with her friends and loves her teachers! We are planning to enroll our younger two children when the time comes.

Rising Sun has been our son’s daycare since August 2021. In that time we be seen our soon flourish under the gentle yet firm guidance of Ms Carolina, Ms.Cynthia, Ms.Jovanna and team. He is now 4 and randomly breaks out in song in Spanish :) which is lovely and uses the “magic words” freely. He is also interested in sounding out words and is very proud when able to. Rising Sun has been a great fit and we are so grateful to have found this Montessori led daycare. Thank you Carolina, Mark and team!

I can not express in words how grateful I am that we found Carolina and Reina, at Rising Sun Montessori! Our son attended Rising Sun far too briefly, 7 months, because we had to move out of state. He was 20 months old when he started there, and was the youngest throughout those 7 months. Originally, I was aprehensive about him being the youngest, especially considering there were 4 year olds also attending. Ultimately, it was the best thing for him! The older kids took him in sweetly, and he learned so much from them. All the while, Carolina and Reina became like family to each of us. Our son became so attached to these lovely women, who each have so much patience, care and tenderness to offer. Carolina and Reina are both very nurturing and calm, and they have years of experience between them. Every day that I dropped my son of at Rising Sun, I felt peace of mind, knowing that he was in great hands. The environment is lively and vibrant, while being intimate and comfortable. Lessons and projects change with the seasons to highlight different cultures, histories and ideas. (We still have the dragon painting my son created in celebration of the Chinese New Year!). They always offer lessons from outside contractors, such as yoga, music and gymnastics. The school always feels new and fresh. The backyard outdoor space is fantastic! A beautiful setting with mature but accessible trees, flowers, and a graden area. There are lots of play structures and vehicles, and even an artwork area. Often, when I would pick my son up, the kids would be following Reina on a walk-about adventure around the yard, exploring and storytelling along the way! The school and yard are safe and protected in a very sweet neighborhood, where they have been established residents with a great reputation. Carolina and Reina encourage independence while thoughtfully considering each child's individual character. They always took the time to discuss our son's unique progress, and they are both so approachable. Again, I can not say enough about how great Rising Sun Montessori is! We loved our time there and feel so honored that we met Carolina and Reina. We miss them everday!

My daughter Savanah studied here before when she first came to America. And I was very happy and satisfied with this school, the teachers here are very friendly and approachable. They took care of the children sincerely and meticulously❤️

We are parents of 2 kids, 8 and 4 years old. We came from Spain to live 1 year in Albany. We feel so confortable with all the team of the school! Since the first day our kid enjoyed the school. He made really nice friends and we felt really confortable with all the families of the kids.
