What Parents Say
Rising Stars receives mostly positive reviews praising the caring staff, owner Stephanie VanBuren's dedication, educational activities, and daily communication with parents. However, two recent 1-star reviews document serious issues including miscommunication between owner and director regarding enrollment, ratio violations, an unsecured facility, and inadequate support for a child with special needs.
My baby has been a student of Rising Stars since she was 8 months. She will be 2 this month, I love the owner she is so awesome. My baby knows how to count to 19, she knows all of her ABC's, she knows her colors and much more. The teachers there are caring and loving, and they are all about the kids. The director/owner has all of paperwork in order, and very organized. As a parent I am very pleased with Rising Stars and would tell everyone in the area to allow your child to attend Rising Stars I promise you will not be disappointed.
Everyone is polite and loves what they do taking care of your little darlings. Stephanie VanBuren is so passionate about her center and the children. She will go the extra mile. You have to know her to love her. If you don't love children this is not the place or job for you. Rising Stars (your children),have come from place. Many children has excel because of their beginnings at Risingstars 🌟. Tell a friend share with your neighbors. Have a great day. ❤️
Rising Stars is an awesome daycare center. They provide love, safety, and kindness to all the kids. They always make sure parents are well aware of any and all situations. Daily updates are always generous. My kids love the meals as well. We're Always greeted smiling faces and great people! Thanks You Rising Stars!!
If I could give this center 10 stars I would! I have two children who have attended here and they have both always been treated kindly. The staff has gone above and beyond to build personal relationships with them both! I’ve always been informed of any changes in advance and notified immediately when any situation has taken place. I can’t say one bad thing about rising stars...... my kids love it here so it’s 5 stars from us ❤️
First Day Gone Wrong I brought my 17 months daughter on 8/26 at 6:30am for a test day set up by the owner. It was to my disappointment that it was not communicated with the director. She was not aware of my daughter's scheduled day after I did a application, application fee, and confirmation with the owner. She informed me that it was fine since I filled my paperwork and paid my application fee. So, I was assured that it was ok. At exactly 7:40am, I was called at work saying that they are above ratio and I need to pick up my daughter. I came immediately. When I came, the door was open not locked and my daughter was not in the infant room but was mixed with other age groups. This was her test day for a reason for Rising Stars to show me what environment that they can provide for my child. The owner stated that it is only 4 infants and my daughter would have made 5. Clearly, they had more. This informs me that they don't know how many kids are registered. It was unprofessional. It was the worst day for child and my family. Then, the owner never addressed the situation. I received only partial of my application fee back from the director and they owe me. This is our first child and sending her to day care is already a hard decision. This first experience made it even worse. We are back to the drawing board on day care. It was a learning lesson to see what the center can provide. So, I am actually glad that they had that test day. It showed me that the communicaton between the owner and the director needs work. They were both very nice, the facility was nice, and the staff was friendly. But, unorganization and miscommunication brought to our decision not the best place for our daughter.
