What Parents Say
Rising Scholars Learning Center recently reopened with new management and staff under a director with 30+ years of experience. Most parents praise the facility's educational curriculum, caring staff, and welcoming environment, reporting significant child development gains. However, one negative review cited poor customer service and safety concerns at the front entrance.
I am so glad that Rising Scholars has re-opened. The facility has all new staff and a wonderful new director that has over 30 years experience with the childcare atmosphere. My son loves this daycare. The staff are very welcoming and take pride in their work. I can drop my son off here with ease knowing he is in good hands and is happy. My son is 3 years old and is well advanced with knowing his colors, numbers, ABC's, and his speaking skills are well on point and advanced. I can give Rising Scholars credit for this as they have an amazing learning program for all ages. Other daycare's he has attended have not been as advanced as Rising Scholars learning program. I HIGHLY recommend Rising Scholars for your child's care center. I would give more stars if possible!!!**********
I am the new Director of Rising Scholars we have redone the center. We opened on May 28th, 2019. New management, all new employees. The name is just to good to change. I have 32 years experience and have lived in the Montgomery County area most all of my life. We are focused on the children and their needs. Our curriculum will meet the developmental stages for each age group. While teaching the children the basic skills needed to become good leaders as they grow. Montessori will be offered in the fall. We will meet the children nutritional needs while serving them breakfast, lunch, pm snacks daily. We offer a school age program, basketball, soccer fields and a huge upstairs room for the big kids. I realize that some residents here had some not so good experiences. I would like each person to come in and view the center and see for yourselves what the new center and it's policies and professional staff can offer each family. We are also giving a free week of childcare for new enrollments!
Only giving one star, because I'm required to rate. I can't really describe how the daycare itself was because I did not make it past the front hallway without leaving pretty upset. I came in with my girl friend to inquire about infant care for my 6 week old son. The directors office was on the left (I believe) a lady was in there talking with another lady about personal issues. She saw us through the window waiting to be helped, even made eye contact with her. Not once in the 5 minutes We were standing in front of her window did she get up or acknowledge we were there. As we are standing there we hear down the hall, a teacher in one of the classrooms screaming at one of the kids. Also looking down the hall the baby room was wide open. Obviously since no one cared we were there, it was probably that easy to just walk into the baby room not knowing who I was. Completely unexceptable.
The "lady" at the desk referred to in the previous post is the owner of the daycare. She is notorious for having parents in her office discussing personal issues. This is not because she is a nosey person, but because she truly cares. In the instance previously posted about, the parent was having some serious issues at home and the owner was trying to help her sort through them and see what she could do to assist. This is the kind of person she is. She isn't just "running a business." This is an extended family to her. She truly cares about each and every one of the children enrolled at Rising Scholars, and each of us parents. She knows us all by name and asks how we are doing every day we walk in the door. She has a huge heart and I will continue to keep my precious children in her care.
I am so glad we found this day care center! After going to a private sitter for 4 years, he is learning so much here. Now he will be prepared for kindergarten! They are kind & have the patience of a Saint!
