What Parents Say
Richard F. Blake Children's Center receives highly polarized reviews. Most parents praise the caring staff, educational curriculum, and positive experiences for their children's kindergarten readiness. However, some parents report concerns about activity variety, staff behavior, safety during outdoor play in heat, and frustration with waitlist management.
Joined a waitlist in December of 2024 and was told there would be openings in July-September of 2025. I called in February after the birth of my daughter and again was told July-September. Just called in May and was told they’ve “revamped their waitlist” and are no longer accepting new children until July of 2026!! Moral of the story: if you signed up for a waitlist before April 2025, surprise! You’re not on one anymore. We were never contacted that the waitlist we joined no longer exists. I asked them to contact the (now defunct) waitlist and give people time to find alternative child care, but their response was the over-the-phone equivalent of a shrug (exact words are evading me in a postpartum haze). Hoping that other families see this in time to find alternative child care options.
From day one, I knew we were going to love this daycare center, the staff is unbelievable with the children, they care about them and really go the extra mile with each child. This is our second year bringing our son to the Richard Blake Center and he loves coming in every morning, excited to start a new day with his teachers and friends whom he loves. I strongly recommend this day care to anybody looking for a daycare place, you will be very impressed with their curriculum and everything they do to prepare your child for school.
I absolutely love the Richard Blake Center! Both my children went here and have done amazing things in Kindergarten and beyond! They teach the children through developmentally appropriate techniques including structured play and peer interactions. The staff are highly educated and always carrying a smile. Couldn't have left my children in better care.
Both of our kids had fantastic experiences here. Excellent teachers and a great staff.
Is not a good Camp for kids!! In my opinion. Totally different of what they offer in the Web site. Only play, play, and play..... sometimes during the hot day, kids were playing for hours until parents pick them up, under high temperature. Most of the Staff isn't nice! A year ago, my 3 year old had a bad experience in the swimming class, now he is afraid to go to the pool.
