What Parents Say
Rhyme Time Learning Center receives mixed reviews with strong praise from satisfied long-term families who appreciate the educational approach, staff quality, and communication app, but significant complaints from parents who experienced management instability, frequent closures, health/illness issues, and unprofessional communication.
My 2 year old attends and my 9 yr old attends for before/after school care. They are wonderful! They actually teach our little ones stuff and not just watch them. Communication is very good, they will keep you updated with how their day is going on the childpilot app. Would definitely recommend!
At first I thought this place would be perfect for my 11 month old son. This was his first daycare experience. Initially I liked the fact they offered an app where you can see pictures of your child, when & what they eat, and when their diaper was changed. They also offered lunch, breakfast, and snacks. To sign him up was an easy process. However, the day he was supposed to start we got a notification on the app that said the daycare would be closed all week because of plumbing problems. The next day I get another message saying that the daycare will reopen. The day it reopened I got another message stating the owner (who I was told was the owner) was fired from the daycare and to not make any more payments to her. Later on in the week I find out she was fired because she was conducting church in the daycare on Sundays and the owner of the building didn’t approve. (Weird story, I know) My son was enrolled in the daycare for less than a month and the entire time he was there he was sick. Every week it was something else. He had to stay home from daycare some days and a few times he needed to be picked up early because he was throwing up. He was actually so sick that he ended up getting me and his father sick as well. One week I had gotten so sick I ended up in the hospital and ended up losing my job. Losing my job and them taking away the lunches they provided was the last straw. I removed him from Rhyme Time. I recently became employed again and have enrolled my son into a new daycare. He has been there for a month now and has not gotten sick once! Not even a running nose. We like his teachers at his new daycare. The teachers at Rhyme Time seemed unqualified. Overall, I think Rhyme Time as the potential to be a great place however, it has a lot of work to do!
My son started here at 1years old. He was always well taken care of and happy to go to school everyday. He is now 4 and we still love this center for school age care. The weeks that public schools are closed for vacation, we love the convenience of drop in care if we need it.
My daughter started rhyme time back in December. since then. her social and communication skills have gotten so much better. Every time i pick her up shes doing or saying something new. i love her teacher, even the ones that dont directly work with her. i recommended rhyme time to everyone i know who is looking for a daycare.
I was very excited about this place when it first opened, however, when Anika left (like another reviewer I also thought she was the owner) it went downhill fast. I would see under 2 year old kids crying and not being comforted, but since I liked my son’s teacher and he was in a different class than these kids I felt ok. Then he changed rooms and I found him crying without being comforted twice during pick up. I never went back and it was a great decision— my son (18 months) was always sick and now he never gets sick. Also Rhyme Time was always closing for some reason or another... snow, plumbing issues (?!), professional development (said they would be closed for a week but then changed their minds at the last minute after I had already gotten time off work). Overall their communication with parents was unprofessional and didn’t make me feel confident they had things under control. Each time they reached out to us it was more negative news— they would no longer provide lunch (but our fees would stay the same), the center would be closed (but we would still have to pay for the day), we should not pay Anika because she was let go and we will let you know who the new director is (they never did). Management never once reached out to parents proactively about anything positive. I am thankful to be at a new place.
