What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Rainbow Child Care Center (formerly Riverwood KinderCare) for its caring, experienced staff and welcoming environment. Multiple reviews highlight strong teacher-child relationships, effective communication through daily updates and photos, and noticeable developmental progress in children. The facility maintains high standards despite recent ownership changes.
My son has recently started at Riverwood KinderCare right after Labor Day & we absolutely love the environment & the welcomed faces we receive every morning. All the teachers have really shown their patience and love an care for Jameson. With his medical history he takes awhile to adapt to any changes & have many sensory issues. His teacher Madison is amazing & always keeps me updated on how he’s doing throughout the day! The director Camilla is AMAZING & is there with any concern or need you may have & she responds back to any email in a very timely matter. Thank you for treating us like family we love you guys & can’t wait to see Jamesons growth!
Riverwood infant teachers and administration have been wonderful to my daughter. She takes time to adapt to changes and everyone has been so patient, caring, and helpful through the process. They truly take the time and care to make sure she and all the kids in the room are well taken care of and known. They do a great job keeping parents updated and providing support. Miss Alyssa and Miss Alketa are seriously top notch teachers. My daughter has grown so much in their care and we couldn’t be more grateful!
My family's experience with KinderCare has been a journey of mixed feelings. We entered with high hopes, understanding the challenges of finding quality childcare in today's busy world. Recognizing the hard work and dedication of the staff, it's evident they're often overwhelmed, a sign of the times in the childcare sector. However, our journey hasn't been without its hurdles, notably in areas crucial for any parent's peace of mind. Communication, the backbone of trust and reassurance for parents, was often found lacking. Despite the promise of seamless updates and photos through their app, we encountered numerous instances of incorrect, incomplete or delayed information regarding our 3-month-old's day. Especially with feedings and naps. Such discrepancies, though may seem minor, raise concerns over the attention to detail one would expect in the care of our youngest. There were other instances where there was a lack of attention to children that were very apparent during pick up and drop off, and even when my wife went in to volunteer for a few hours. Moreover, while the staff seemed competent, we sensed an overall lack of empathy and customer service that one would expect from a childcare provider. The warmth and understanding needed to create a nurturing environment for children and a reassuring space for parents were often not as evident as we had hoped. This was especially felt on the first day leaving our child with strangers for the first time. Nothing was ready for us, no one was in the office and there was no greeting as we walked in. We even had trouble figuring out where to leave our child and in what room. In the end, trust and comfort are paramount when choosing a childcare provider. Despite the hard work and apparent commitment of the KinderCare team, our experiences led us to question if our child's needs and our expectations as parents could fully be met. It's with a heavy heart we decided that it was not the right fit for our family, driven by the belief that our 3-month-old's care should feel unequivocally safe, understood, and prioritized.
As both a parent and educator, I value quality teachers and care. I am thankful for the staff at the Riverwood KinderCare for making my children feel welcomed and loved. They greet my kids with a smile and keep me updated throughout the day with pictures and information via the app. There are many changes I see happening for the better! I love all the artwork they bring home also!
My kids have attended this facility for the last four years, previously as Riverwood Child Development Center, and now Rainbow Child Care Center. Although there is new ownership, the teacher/child/parent connection is still the same. I truly believe that each and every teacher there delights in seeing every child grow and learn in their own distinctive way. The teachers treat my kids as if they were their own. It's a wonderful peace of mind knowing that my kids are well cared for and thoroughly engaged both educationally and personally while they are at the center. I would highly recommend this center and the teachers to anyone.
