What Parents Say
NOTE: These reviews appear to be for Quinsigamond Community College (QCC), a higher education institution, not a daycare center. The reviews are mixed, with most praising supportive staff, resources, and community engagement, while some criticize administrative inefficiency, staff rudeness, facility maintenance issues, and financial aid problems.
Never been inside. The outside of this place is beautiful. I love the nature here! It’s a wonderful, peaceful place. Till they cut down some trees. It looks awful. Sorry, I love this place. Some of my pics below…
I would absolutely advise anyone with other options to seek a valuable education elsewhere. It’s concerning that a college can operate this dysfunctionally without any repercussions, and it’s a shame the stress they put on their students. Financial aid, business, and administrative staff are, more often than not, rude and dismissive. Treating people like they're ignorant and don't understand how things work. School recently raised prices, and my child wasn’t notified until just shy of six weeks before the program started, even after they had already made arrangements to return to Worcester. Financial aid has been a hot mess three years in a row. Not sure how they are the only school that never has anything done on time. Students completed every checklist well before deadlines, only to be told that aid may or may not process in time, meaning she would be responsible for thousands in fees if it didn’t come through. On top of that, payment plans close well before aid is processed, leaving students stuck with no options. Facilities are equally disappointing. Parking lots are full of crater-sized potholes (good luck in the winter), bathrooms are frequently out of order, and nothing ever seems to get repaired—yet tuition keeps going up. Their accommodations for students who need support are also troubling, showing a lack of care for accessibility. At its best, this school feels like a community college pretending to be something more. A few staff members have been kind, but unfortunately the overall culture is spoiled. Unfortunately their time and money has been wasted and taken a toll on their mental health for going thru this and saying for anyone else child who has another path available, don’t waste your time here.
Where do I even start? This college is just a mess. If you need to get a degree and it’s your only option that’s the only way you should sell education here. I don’t even know how their rating is so high. The school is extremely low budget and unorganized. When you first sign up most people are not informed of what they need to do. Your financial aid will come in 6 different checks and will have discrepancies. The school does not keep up with online communications and transparency. They wouldn’t put merit list and Dean’s list students in the list till the middle of summer from spring. They are making the “bookstore” more complicated. You will no longer be able to retrieve your books there. Everything is online based and their tutoring demands that you must go into the school or fit into the small online schedule they have. Most schools in mass have unlimited online tutoring. They are only giving 15 hours of thinking Storm no matter how many classes you have(which is for 15 weeks).
Great school offers night classes and very informative on appointment expectations for waiting. School is up to date and we'll vested in helping students succeed
Nothing but a pleasant experience attending QCC. The support systems and staff are great, and they have tons of resources for students! A lot of student engagement events that include free food as well 🤑. I would recommend QCC to anyone looking to start or continue their college education. Some people just see it as class and then home, class and then home, but if you actually stop and enjoy your time at QCC, you will see that it has a lot to offer!
