Puffin Montessori School

We are so thrilled to have found Puffin for our daughter. I can go on and on about how special this place is. It always smells so clean when you walk in. It feels safe and warm. This was the first school our daughter went to so needless to say, she had never really been around other adults or kids without us. We knew right away when we came here that it would be a place we call home. The staff go above and beyond for every student individually and they really accommodate all the kids if they're going through something or need extra support. They send photos and communicate daily through an app, which really makes it easy to know how your child is doing. They make holidays and birthdays so special for the kids. Puffin is a bilingual program, so it's been really beneficial to us that our daughter is coming home saying her colors, numbers, and days of the week in Spanish!! She's learned so so much and they really continue to build on the strengths of the kids. They are challenged to be their best academically, while also given the tools to make strides within their social/emotional development. As a mom and a teacher myself, I can see that the staff are so professional and trained to handle any situation. When my daughter is having a tough time, they comfort her with ease--do her hair, sing with her, read and color with her..there is nothing the staff can't do and haven't seen before. They're truly superheroes and they're always smiling. I appreciate the team at Puffin and their approach as a program!!

Puffin was my daughter’s first school experience (VPK), and we feel so lucky to have found it. The environment is safe, clean, and welcoming, and the staff — Ms. Andrea, Ms. Paola, and Ms. Arcadia are kind, caring, and really great with kids. My daughter came home happy every day, always full of stories, and even said she missed school during holidays. When a child loves school this much, you know the school is doing something right. We’re so grateful for Puffin and highly recommend it to other families!

“I had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience with this preschool. My child never felt safe, and I noticed unprofessional behavior from the staff, including the principal, Andreas. There were also troubling signs that the children were being harassed. When we requested footage from the security cameras to understand what happened during a particular incident, the school refused to provide it. This lack of transparency only added to our concerns. Due to these issues, I do not recommend this preschool and will be pursuing legal action to ensure the safety and well-being of children.” And it felt so weird that Andrea did not want to give us the owner of the preschool number or name. She didn’t want us to have any contact with them that raises a lot of concerns

Do not recommend it. My daughter went there when she was two years old. Since the beginning I had a problem with Ms. Martha when my daughter was in the Twos, Then I took her out when she turned 3 because they had hired an inexperience lady. Then, I wanted to give them a try again and I took her early this year when she turned 4 years old. My daughter had a hard time to adjust to school and the rules. She isn’t easy but she is not a lost cause. They called me literally every day for any reason. They told me my daughter was a lost cause and they didn’t want to take care of her. I was pregnant I cried for 2 weeks. Being pregnant and people that are supposed to know childcare tell you that your daughter is bad. It’s the worst feeling ever. Also, Ms Martha told me that my daughter has always been like that since she was two. I don’t know how a two year old is supposed to behave. They prefer to pick and choose kids that “are easy to handle”.

The best day care and VPN in west Boca. Ever since we moved our daughter to the school she improved so much. Teachers and directors are so kind and gentle with the kids. One of the best things we did, moving her to Puffin. Now she is going to kindergarten and I’m sure she will miss everybody.
