All 3 of my children have attended The Preschool and were extremely prepared for kindergarten. The teachers are highly-qualified, nurturing and dedicated. The Parents' Council is very active and there are so many ways to become involved and meet new people.
We attended PRUMC and regularly used their drop-in program when we decided to enroll our son at The Preschool. Our experience between the church and Preschool were night and day. Every single day our son was at the Preschool, I would either receive a note in his bag or a text from his teacher. "He was dancing in music class. It was very disruptive." "He put a pot in his mouth from the play kitchen so we threw it away." "You sent him in the wrong shoes." He had just turned two years old. Things finally got to the point where I was so stressed out about the well being of our child that I called our pediatrician and was like I don't know what to do. Our school is telling us our two year old son is autistic. Without hesitation, our pediatrician said, "Are you at The Prechool at the Methodist Church? I don't know what is going on there, but I'm getting a lot of calls. Pull him out of there." So we did, and it was the best decision we ever made.
