Wouldn’t be here today without their help! I hope others keep an open mind about coming in for their services despite reviews being high or low. Some perks: The waiting area is a calm atmosphere, clean restrooms, friendly front desk, could go on which is a major bonus. And all the staff I’ve met so far are always focused and ready to give you their undivided attention. Easy to park as well if you drive. Plenty of spaces. Being someone who can get overwhelmed due to sensory issues, I have to hand it to the entire building. It’s rare in any medical building I’ve been to. Much respect
You qualify for sliding scale? Cause I made $25k last year and I don’t. You get your scripts refilled regularly? I have to make an $80 phone appointment every two months to get citalopram, which my PCP could prescribe. You want good healthcare? Don’t come to Provident.
Rather Disappointing. Provident was supposed to be experts in counseling for abused males and have abused males groups. When I told then in the first session that had been a victim of female abuse- they said they could not help me. They then gave me a list of 8 other counselors to call- none of them who deal with abused men, On the plus side- Provident rates seem more reasonable than some, Some counselors in the cheap St Louis area charge $300 to $400 per hour or as much as $200 for a student counselor,. I was told that I applied for sliding scale payment, then I was told I did not. If you have insurance that doesn’t help much; don’t even mention it. They will not help you with sliding scale payments if they know you have insurance. They also put me down for TWO initial appointments. Why? Not sure. Receptionist Shannon is rude and Kathy is not helpful.Poorly run and discombobulated business.
I called to try and schedule an appointment for my husband and the receptionist was rude and didn’t seem to care very much. Believe her name was Cathy. I tried to schedule an appointment and sAid she couldn’t because it was a HIPAA violation. I have always made my husbands appointments. It is not a violation I’m getting no information from them I was providing it. Not good customer service especially when people are calling there for help.
