Providence Baptist Daycare

We've been attending here for the last 6 months. Just a week ago we decided to become members here. The church has been in existence for 147 years in one form or another. The building is in great condition and they keep it that way. They share facilities with a Spanish speaking church right next to the cemetery and Providence Christian School and Early Learning Center. When we first started attending here, the people were all (and I do mean all) were so very friendly. In fact, after the service, we went up and met the pastor, Mark Duff, and his wife, Pricilla, and they were both so friendly and welcoming. On our way out of the building we were stopped by many different people telling us how it was so wonderful that we were there and welcomed us to return again. I really liked the fact that since covid they didn't do like most churches and just go to one service per week, but instead they resumed all services, Sunday morning, Service first then Sunday School ( Bible Study ), and then they have just started a Discipleship training hour at 4:30pm followed by a service again at 6pm, then they have some other meetings for other groups in the church through the week with a specified Wednesday Prayer Meeting every week. The service style is very reminiscent of the church that I grew up in 40 years ago. They have a choir with other special music performances, they don't have a band like most other churches, but they do have band/orchestra style instruments played by talented members of the church - there is no electrified anything in the instrument category besides the amplifier system with strategically placed microphones around the stage to pick up the voices of the instruments and singers. They have a great missions program supporting over 80 different missionaries that the members vote to support financially on a voluntary basis, rather than giving to a central missions comity somewhere else and they decide where to send the money. The church is autonomous, as a church biblically should be, with chosen churches in the area they chose to affiliate with because they have like minded beliefs, standards, and doctrines. They are truly an Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church in the truest sense. They also have pews, song books in the holders in front of you (as well as the words projected on the screens at the front of the auditorium), and they sing almost all of their songs from the song books rather than off of the radio. In that sense they are very traditional. As far as the teaching that you will hear there... The gospel hasn't changed at all through the ages, and every message is taught out of the KJV Bible without variations - it's the same gospel message that I heard when I was saved 52 years ago. Membership to this church requires all applicants to be a New Testament believer in Jesus Christ and to then be baptized by emersion thereafter before they are qualified to be a member of the church. Although, that doesn't mean that anyone else can't come in and take part in our worship times. Jesus receives everyone and so do we!! I strongly suggest that everyone try this church at least 3 times before they make up their minds where they want to settle down with a church home. I hope to see you there!

This is a God's fearing church. The Pastor definitely teaches form the Bible. He delivers the expository message with clarity and always brings forth a life lesson. These lessons aimed at ensuring the hearers understand what it is to be a disciple. I have visited for many months now and hope to soon start visiting the classrooms. My goal is to become a member and serve. People in this church is friendly and the congregation is a medium size. The facilities are clean and in good conditions. I recommend this church to anyone seeking a good church in which the Word of God is being preached without hesitation or excuses. I feel God' spirit in this place. Besides, they support missions worldwide.

My daughter just started here in August, and she loves it ! Her teacher is amazing. My daughter is learning so much so fast.

Awesome church if you are looking in your area. Newly remodel, coffee shop, school, very nice, friendly people, great singing preaching.
