What Parents Say
Progressive Child Development Center receives mixed reviews with strong praise from satisfied parents but serious concerns from others. Positive reviewers highlight caring teachers, good communication, and noticeable child development. Negative reviewers report health and safety issues, inadequate cleaning protocols, and poor management communication.
The good: AMAZING teachers that truly care about your children. The bad: My kid got sick at least seven times within the five months she was there. So I think it's safe to say the health and safety protocols are questionable. They changed ownership and names recently so that you can no longer see their violations with the state online. Also, there were multiple occasions I could not reach them via their provided phone number while my daughter was in their care. The new executive director, Gary, is an absolute nightmare to communicate with in any sort of conflict. He refused to respond to emails asking for clarification of sick policies (after I was told three different amounts of time my daughter needed to stay out of care by three different staff members) and an explanation for their phones seemingly being unplugged for an hour. I was (understandably) frustrated with their lack of communication and had no idea how long to tell my boss I'd be out of work. Neither he nor the other director returned my calls as promised. He demanded that I speak with him in person, only to insist that I sit in the tiny office so that he could stand over me and admonish me like a child for asking perfectly valid questions. He's all excuses and blame-shifting, no accountability, explanations, or apologies. If Mr.BigEgo Gary doesn't like your tone or line of questioning, you will NOT have a good experience here.
I have to say my daughter has went here for the past year and this has been the best daycare I have ever felt with!! They are super communicative, treat my daughter like thier own, notify me of changes, they do cute pictures/ crafts for holidays, always friendly to wear I pick up/drop off with a smile. I have walked in and talked to them several times to see them constantly cleaning. I think the reviews from a year ago are way different than the experience you receive today! They really do care about your children. I think kids all get sick from daycares and schools but sometimes it’s other parents sending them in sick and the daycare does catch to send them home but sometimes it was just long enough to reach your kids. I have felt with absolutely awful daycares where my son came home covered in bite marks and no one told me. Here I am called the minute it happens and it’s been twice in a year and it was just a scratch or a bump of a normal baby learning to walk! Go in your and get an idea for yourself, you guys are missing out on a true hidden gem of a daycare! A rare find!
Both of my boys have gone here. The care they receive is exceptional, the improvements to the facility have been great and the teachers are great. We love them!
Lots of 18 year olds with no experince. My daughter got a nasty bacterial infection because they do not clean the changing pads in between children. I was assured they do and after telling the director and teacher my daughter had a bacterial infection I watch them change multiple children without wiping anything down. Really gross!!
They have been great with my Granddaughter, the development has been noticeable.
