We absolutely love this place. My son started at Primrose 3 years ago and recently graduated. My daughter is there now and started at 6 months old. Literally every teacher is so kind to us and our children. My children have always been happy, well taken care of, and learn so much from being here. We are thrilled to be a part of the Primrose family and I will be so sad to say goodbye in 3 years when my daughter leaves!
The teachers and staff are all absolutely wonderful! Our kids genuinely love being there (despite some drop off clingy behavior at times), and have learned so much in their time at Primrose! Not only have they made many friends in their classes, but my wife and I have made some great friends there as well. We absolutely love being part of the Primrose North Raleigh family and could not imagine sending our kids anywhere else! We love the structure this school provides, with the balance of early education along with letting the kids be kids; having fun with one another, using their imaginations, learning conflict resolution, sharing, social engagement, etc. When we as parents make the decision to send our young kiddos off to school at this age, we have to trust that they are in the best of hands - learning as much as they can while having fun and making friends along the way. With PSNR, we have absolutely found that, and then some!
The management here should be ashamed of the money grab waitlist they have created. Our son was born in November 2023 and my husband was told by management that a spot would be available come March 2024. This was perfect timing for my return to work from maternity leave. When we called to follow-up as March came closer, they stated they were unable to get him in. At that time we were also told they enroll new children in August when the graduating class moves up. This completely contradicted the statement provided when we paid the $150 deposit. This left me scrambling and calling other facilities to secure childcare last minute. Luckily a family was moving out of town and I was able to secure at spot at another fantastic facility. I would like to add that it is June 2025 and we still have received no updates on the waitlist. We never called to remove our name from the waitlist but somehow we still haven't heard back from them over a year and a half later. Reading through the daycare's reviews, this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. I'm sure the staff are fantastic and the facility seemed clean with happy children. However, I would not put my child in a facility where the management will lie directly to parents in order to secure additional funds. That's disgraceful. I've seen comments that Primrose later claimed there was a "two-year wailist" to other parents. If that's the case, management should not state they can enroll a child in the infant room within a few months. I'd look elsewhere. There are many incredible facilities in the area with honest and trustworthy owners and management.
Please be aware when you pay the deposit to secure your spot on the waitlist that most of the families have been on the waitlist for about 2 years. When we toured and applied for this daycare in August of 2023, this was not clearly communicated. In fact, we were told to anticipate a spot in the spring. And then when we followed up in the spring, we were told spots may open in Fall of 2024. I will say that when I toured, the children appeared to be happy and extraordinarily well behaved.
We moved to Raleigh last year and found Primrose in North Raleigh through friends who take their kids there. They do such a fantastic job engaging the kids and keeping them stimulated through play. They provide meals which has been a huge bonus with our busy schedules and even have fun things like soccer shots come to the school. I’m always amazed when my son talks about his day. We also have a new baby in the infant room and the staff there are top notch!! Most mornings I drop of our youngest, Ms. Yelena is dancing at the door waiting for him. The best feeling ever.
