From the very first day we stepped into Primrose, it was clear this was more than a school — it was a community built on warmth, care, and excellence. Mrs. McCluster and the entire Primrose team have created an environment where children aren’t just taught — they are truly seen, nurtured, and celebrated. As a parent — and someone who hopes to work in early childhood education myself — I am constantly in awe of the level of love, patience, and professionalism I see here every day. Watching my daughter thrive, grow, and love coming to school has been one of the greatest gifts. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Primrose and Mrs. McCluster’s leadership. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a place where children and families are genuinely valued.

My little one has attended Primrose Avalon Park for more than 3 years now and it has been the best experience for us a family. Not only all the progress academically but also the values and good habits he has learned daily, it's been amazing. They care about the kids and the whole family. Very well trained for emergencies, thank God. Their commitment to the kids learning process is invaluable. We have really enjoyed been part of the Primrose family for all this time and soon we will be saying good bye, knowing that we will miss this place but being thankful for getting my baby ready for Kindergarten.

I am returning back to work after being at home with my daughter for 18 months but I was only going back if I could find a daycare I felt completely comfortable with. I toured a bunch of schools and we felt Primrose Avalon was the best fit for us. We loved the campus, the staff and the curriculum. My daughter’s teachers are amazing and have been so great helping her transition to school life. The admin team is fantastic. We are super happy with our decision.

We are so happy we made the switch to this school. The difference was clear right away after transferring from another daycare in Avalon. While the other place meant well, they lacked teachers with the kind of child development experience that only comes from years of working with kids and proper training. There was constant teacher turnover, little understanding of potty training, and I often saw children being scolded for simply acting their age. Here, it is the complete opposite. The teachers know exactly what they are doing. Many have been here for years and it shows. They are warm, patient, and clearly love working with kids. They focus on redirecting behavior instead of harsh discipline, which makes a huge difference in a child’s day and overall development. Mrs McCluster and front office staff are always positive and approachable. Communication is excellent and I really appreciate how flexible they are with drop-off times. I also love the uniforms since it is one less thing to think about in the morning. One of my favorite things is how often they send photos throughout the week. At our old daycare, we rarely got photos, but here we get updates almost daily. It is so fun to see what the kids are up to and have more memories as this time flies by! Water days and special themed events are always a hit and give the kids something exciting to look forward to. They really go out of their way to make those days special. Recently, my son had the joy of being in Mrs. Smith’s class. She made such a wonderful impression and he still misses her now that she has returned to her regular classroom for the fall. She really set the bar high with her kindness, patience, and positivity. That said, I have been happy to see the new teachers doing well with the transition and keeping up the great daily habits this school teaches. It is slightly more expensive than some other options nearby, but you really do get what you pay for. The level of care, experienced staff, and thoughtful approach make it well worth it. If you have read the book Good Inside and agree with that style of parenting, this is the kind of place where you will likely see those ideas in action. I say that confidently after personally interviewing at every preschool in Avalon Park. Most of all, I feel confident knowing my child is surrounded by caring, experienced teachers in a nurturing place. This school has been a wonderful fit for our family.

Like all great chapters, our time here has come to an end, and it’s bittersweet. From the very beginning, Mrs. McCluster and the admin team made us feel so welcome. My son would light up every time they greeted him or checked in on how he was doing—those small moments meant everything. Ms. Smith was a wonderful teacher who truly cared. She gave him the comfort and reassurance he needed during those tough early drop-offs, and I’ll always be grateful for that. With my unpredictable summer work schedule, I often picked him up at odd hours, and yet every time, he was actively engaged—whether in a structured activity or a play-based learning moment. The consistency in the daily schedule speaks volumes about the leadership. It’s clear the staff is given the support and tools they need to stay both engaged and fulfilled in their work. And I have to give a special shout-out to the cleanliness of the classroom—impeccable! Even during messy crafting moments, the standard of sanitation never slipped, and as a parent, I noticed and truly appreciated that. This place is a gem, and we’ll miss it dearly!!!
