My son has been going to PCC since he was a year old (he's 3 now), and we have loved our experience here! The staff loves the children they care for each day, and my son loves coming every day.
A month ago I had to take my child out of this daycare. She attended PCC for only a month. The first week of school she came home with a bloody lip and blood all over her clothes. After this incident she came home with multiple bite marks and scratches all over her face. Her skin was scratched completely to the white meat and not one time did the daycare inform me that these things had happened to my child. This experience has forever changed my daughters life as well as my own.
We love PCC! My son started there when he was 16 months old and is still going there at 4 1/2 years old. We have had a great experience and he has really loved all of his teachers. I also have a niece/nephews who have all been highly satisfied with PCC. There are 2 baby rooms (starting at 6 weeks, I believe). PCC now offers Pre-K and Kindergarten taught by 2 recently retired public school teachers with many years of teaching experience. I am very pleased with the results I've seen in my son's reading and writing this year. We have FUN at PCC too-- Fall Fest, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas parade and Spring Style show, just to name a few!
Rates were pretty high, one of the most expensive in Longview actually. I toured their facility and while I really liked the security of the building, staff, and the programs there.. I was really unimpressed with the lack of care shown in the infant room. While I was in there I watched an older lady flail around a newborn baby girl while feeding her, I never once saw a hand go underneath that poor babies head. I would absolutely come unglued if I walked in and saw my baby girl being held like that, so I decided to enroll her somewhere else.
I have had 3 kids in there and have had nothing but positive experiences. The teachers care for these kids like they are their own children and maintain a very loving environment. No place is perfect, but there is a reason that I have been with them for 5 years and will be with them for 5 more.
