We’ve been a Prep family for almost 6 months now and are so happy with our decision to enroll our baby here! As first time parents we definitely had anxiety about trusting someone with our baby but he has been thriving since day one. It’s so comforting to receive pictures and updates throughout the day. The staff and teachers have always given us so much feedback that, honestly, has helped us be better parents. It also brings me such joy to see my child’s face light up when he sees we’re at school for drop-off in the morning, it really helps to know that he’s so comfortable and happy to be there. We’re looking forward to watching him thrive at The Prep McKinney!
We love The PREP!!! The school is fantastic and the staff is truly amazing. My kiddo is thriving — they do so many fun, hands-on activities. From sensory bins and arts and crafts to outdoor play and story time, my girl comes home happy and exhausted! The updates throughout the day are exactly what every parent needs for peace of mind. It’s so reassuring to know she’s being well cared for. I also love their lunch menu — it changes often and introduces her to new foods, which has definitely helped broaden her palate. The program is everything we hoped for and checks all the boxes: secure access, structured learning, and a warm, caring environment. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at The PREP!
My son started at The Prep in July 2025 and it was his first time at pre-school. He is 2.5 years old. From being home since he was a baby, this was his first school experience and I cannot tell you how great it has been for him. He began school at the Prep with some sensory issues and speech delay. Although, he still struggles with some speech, his development growth has been amazing due to the environment, routine, and structure at the Prep. The excitement I receive from his teachers of a new word he may have said or activities he has mastered truly melts my heart. The teachers are so loving, kind, and genuine towards my sweet boy, that we are at a point that when I go to pick him up he always wants to stay a few extra minutes to finish playing with his friends. The families that go here are phenomenal. When you open the doors at the Prep Mckinney, it's not just a venue to drop off your child, it's a safe, loving, warm, and family-oriented space for all their students and families who attend. My husband and I are very blessed to be a part of this community, and for our son to be receiving the best teaching and care.
We love the PREP! We have had such an amazing experience with our daughter. The facility is beautiful and feels very secure. The owners are very involved with the day-to-day running of the school. Everyone is very friendly and knows my daughter by name. The front even knew when it was my daughters birthday. My daughter always has a blast at school and can’t wait to tell me about her day. She brings home lots of arts and crafts from school each week. We always get lots of pictures throughout the day. Ms. Shay and Ms. Lauren have been absolutely amazing and we have been so very thankful having them as our daughter’s teachers. We would definitely recommend the PREP to any family!
My boys love the prep! It’s our first year there and I’m so glad we drive 25 min each way to bring them! They always enjoy coming to school, and all the staff is great!
