My daughter loves Potrero Canyon. The teachers and other parents have gone out of their way to make her (and our family) feel so welcomed. Potrero Canyon School has been an incredibly special part of our family's life. My eldest daughter attended from ages 3 to 6, and my 5-year-old, who is currently enrolled, has been there since she was 2½. We've experienced both the pre-K/TK programs and their wonderful summer camps—and I can’t speak highly enough about all of it. This is not just a preschool; it’s a nurturing, play-based environment that truly shapes the whole child. The school places a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, peer relationships, and instilling a lifelong love of learning. It’s been amazing to see my daughters grow in confidence, empathy, and curiosity during their time here. The outdoor space is absolutely beautiful, with a thoughtfully designed play area and a garden that encourages creativity and nature exploration. It’s clear that the environment is intentionally crafted to inspire wonder and hands-on learning. But what really sets Potrero Canyon apart is the incredible teaching staff. I truly can't wait for my youngest two to experience the magic of Potrero Canyon in the years to come. We feel so lucky to be part of this warm and inspiring community.
Our son attended preschool at Potrero Canyon for 2 years and we could not have chosen a better school for him or for our family. The teachers are incredible, and he bonded with them instantly. We loved the focus on social emotional well being, relationships with others, and connection to nature. We felt loved and supported as an entire family unit, and it was so reassuring to know that our baby was safe and happy when we brought him to school each day.
Potrero Canyon is such a special preschool. My girls loved their time there. Every teacher was so nurturing and capable. As a parent I was completely confident entrusting them with my children’s care. My girls are in elementary school now and we still talk about Potrero with so much fondness.
We love Portrero preschool! The social-emotional learning is so helpful and something I find a lot of preschools do not take the time to teach. My friend’s daughter goes to a preschool where they distract tantrums with bribes 😳 YIKES!! Also, beyond the sweet learning and arts, crafts and play, I love that they help the kids learn to take on little responsibilities that carry over to home. For example, washing hands, packing backpack, hanging up coat etc. This makes life at home so much smoother too. So grateful for this school. I feel so comfortable leaving my kiddo here!
