O my gosh it is transformative. My son was out of control, I always had to leave work to pick him up from school like every day. He was running from teachers biting scratching and disruptive to the point he was to be removed indefinitely. I couldn’t work because I had nowhere to take him. I was extremely stressed out. So this school year I was hesitant to enroll him again but I needed to work so i enrolled him in a new school and they informed me of this program. When I say my son is almost a different little guy. He listens he accepts he doesn’t run off he is kind and respectful I’m so proud of him and thankful for the program. They are so kind patient and supportive. Any way they could help they did while even giving me tools to help with my other kids at home. They really dig deep and help the kids conquer any and every challenge they face at school home and the community. I love this place and I recommend this program to every parent that is overwhelmed or just in need of support with their kiddos to bring forth their best selves. Do not be embarrassed or ashamed it takes a village and they are there for the long haul. Give them all a raise support this program our babies need programs like this. Shout out Chloe she was my son therapist she is amazing turned my little monster into a prince. I love everyone there they all are so amazing and I stand by them with full support and gratitude. Life has been great and thank God mama going back to work!!
Be aware. This place is NOT for kids on the spectrum or even adhd. They will tell you they can help your child. If we could rewind we would never have sent him there. They caused our child so much damage and we are dealing with it years later. His diagnosis were far beyond their realm of expertise and the environment was so chaotic. He picked up every four letter word imaginable and became physically aggressive due to the tactics they use to “discipline” these kids. When we addressed concerns with the owner, she was very condescending, dismissive and deflected. Some severely traumatized children may be helped through this program in special circumstances but if your child is just difficult to manage due to spectrum disorders or adhd you’re better off going to a psychologist that specializes in those disorders. It is my understanding they are under new ownership and I do hope their methods have since improved. Do some deep and thorough investigating before leaving your child in their hands.
My daughter just started at Positive Leaps. I’m so glad she now has a therapist to help her work through her trauma and gain coping skills to help her in her daily life and future. I highly recommend coming here if your child is struggling in any way.
