What Parents Say
Plantation United Methodist Preschool receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, with most parents praising the warm, attentive teachers and family-like environment. However, a few parents reported significant issues with director communication and inconsistent follow-through, particularly in toddler rooms and when children require extra emotional support.
Most of the teachers at PUMP are truly wonderful — several of them go above and beyond to care for the children. I’m especially grateful to those who showed my child compassion and reassurance when it was needed most. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn after my child transitioned from the Baby Room to the 1-Year-Old Room. We encountered ongoing miscommunication, unfulfilled promises, and a noticeable lack of follow-through. The leadership, particularly the director, was where we faced the biggest challenges. If your child experiences anxiety or needs extra emotional support, this may not be the best fit.
The teachers are absolutely incredible, smart and kind. The classrooms and environment promote growth and safety. My daughter adapted well after a move and we are forever grateful for this place. I cannot rate higher due to the director. She was condescending and rude and it really dampered our overall opinion. You never know what someone is going through and it’s always better to just be kind. It really surprised my family that this person felt so comfortable treating adults like children as this school is so wonderful.. However, everything else about PUMP is 10 out of 10 and recommend.. just be weary of the director.
They will tell you everything is fine and one day, they will give a list of everything that was wrong. They said that my 2yo was misbehaving. I’ve never experienced the behavior they were mentioning so I asked them to make a video so I can see exactly what they’re talking about but they could not provide any picture or video of anything at all. That was such a confusing time as every day I would receive messages in the app that everything went well for the day in one day they will tell me that my child was so bad and misbehaved every day. They even insisted that i would get him tested which i did because i found it weird but there is nothing wrong with him. He is now excelling at a new school, in prek doing kindergarten work. I guess we were just not wanted there. I still don’t understand what happened. They were supposed to refund my registration fee and kept giving me the run around.
If I could give them 10 stars I would. Our family will forever be grateful to the amazing teachers at plantation united Methodist. We have been to other preschools and it just doesn’t compare. You can be sure that the teachers here will love your children as you do. A special thank you to Miss Jennesse, Miss Jennifer, and Miss Terri. In a matter of 5 weeks our daughter became fully potty trained at school, something she was struggling with at the previous school. In addition, she feels loved and supported. She is so happy each day at school and runs to give her teachers hugs and kisses. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Where to start! When we decided to start my son in daycare at 12 months I wanted to find the best school for him and with Plantation United Methodist Preschool I did just that! The teachers and all staff are absolutely amazing. They care for the kids and truly have their best interest. They know allll the kids by their name and every morning Ms. Nancy is there to say hello to every kiddo that walks thru the door! I love that my son loves to go. He claps when we arrive in the parking lot and runs all the way to class, that says so much to me. If you’re looking for a daycare for your infant or toddler you will not got wrong with PUMP.
