We’ve had a very positive experience at Petite School House. The director is incredibly friendly and always greets everyone by name and with a genuine smile, which makes you feel welcome right away. The teachers are kind, attentive, and clearly care about the children. Communication is excellent—they always keep parents informed if someone in the class is sick or there has been any illness exposure. I also appreciate that they require medical clearance before a child returns, which shows how seriously they take health and safety. We feel confident and comfortable leaving our child in their care and would highly recommend this school.
Petite School House was truly a godsend for our family. Both my kids went there, and I can honestly say it’s the kind of place you wish they could stay in all the way through college! My oldest (now 8) attended from ages 3–5, and my youngest just finished at age 4 before we transitioned her to her brother’s school, mainly for the convenience of one drop-off (any parent gets it!). If it weren’t for that, she’d still be there in a heartbeat. The teachers are absolutely incredible, attentive, nurturing, and genuinely invested in every child. The care and love they show every day made it so easy to trust them completely. Not once did I ever worry about my kids while they were there. The food is fantastic too — my daughter made sure to remind me daily that she only liked Petite’s food, not mine! (Let’s just say she had to adjust quickly once I started packing lunches again at her new school.) And the office staff? Beyond amazing! Always friendly, helpful, and on top of everything. Petite School House gave us the best possible preschool experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough, it’s truly a special place that sets the bar for early education and care.
A wonderful place. We were so happy to have found Petite Schoolhouse for our toddler. She developed in so many wonderful ways, made friends, was excited to participate in the class room and was happy to arrive to school, and was greeted by happy teachers, staff and classmates. The staff and teachers are excellent.
Finding the best preschool and early-education environment for our son felt daunting when I started looking after the pandemic. I started my search online and narrowed the list to 6 schools to visit in person. Petite School House was the last school I toured and it was an immediate "YES"! The classrooms were set up and decorated with care, the separate play yards were developmentally appropriate, and the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. I appreciated that we were encouraged to bring our son for a classroom visit before he started attending to help him (and us) acclimate and feel comfortable. Our son attended Petite for 2 years, including 2 summer camps. He looked forward to attending school with kind teachers, fun learning opportunities, outdoor play, and class friends. He also loved the extra-curricular classes offered through outside companies. During his tenure, we happily signed our son up for gymnastics, science, hip-hop dance, soccer, and ninja/martial arts. It was wonderful to see him explore different interests while he was at school! I dropped our son off at Petite without any concerns or reservations. It was always very clear to me that he was going to be in a nurturing and inclusive place, where his health and safety were priorities, and the staff was committed to the enrichment of all the students. If I had to do it all again... I WOULD WITHOUT QUESTION... pick Petite School House!
I can’t say enough positive things about Petite School House! The staff, teachers, everyone made my child’s transition to preschool so much easier from day one. As a parent, I was nervous as my kid was spreading her wings. But once I saw how the teachers accepted my daughter with open arms, I was relived. Every single teacher in the school was deeply invested in my child’s growth and well-being. My daughter came home everyday learning something new. The Director, Mrs. Salmeena, creates an environment for every kid to feel safe and thrive. She genuinely loves each and every one of the kids. And not to mention the food served to the kids is healthy and a great variety. Takes yet another burden off the mom’s plate to prepare lunches, and my kid came home full and satisfied. Overall, this school was an important and great step is starting my daughter’s schooling journey.
