We have been so happy with our decision to send our daughter to Penny Lane in Oak Lawn. The teachers and the staff are incredibly caring, kind and very patient. I have been impressed with the curriculum. We are grateful for the way the teachers and staff helped our daughter transition each time she was moved to a new age based classroom. I can honestly say that Penny Lane created a little social butterfly within our daughter! I also really appreciate the safety measures for drop off and pick up.
We love Penny Lane! My son has been attending since he was 2 years old, and now he’s in the before- and after-school program—and still loves it. The staff truly feels like family, and I always know he’s in good hands when I drop him off. The teachers are wonderful, and he’s made great friends along the way!
My son has been at Oak Lawn Penny lane for almost 3 years now and I have nothing but good things to say about this school. The staff is so warm and welcoming and classroom environment is always so kind. I Highly recommend.
I have been sending my daughter to the Oak Lawn location since she was 6 weeks old. She is now about 1.5 years old. I think it's a great place and have had no major issues with them at all to date. The teachers truly seem to care about the children and the program is not just about watching your kids but teaching them as well which I find to be extraordinary at such a young age. I will happily be sending my child and future children there for daycare.
Another child scratched my sons face from his eye to his chin and he had additional little scratches around his eye like she clawed his eye prior to scratching his face. They sent my son home with no incident report nor an explanation. I confronted the director who had no knowledge of this. She called the teacher and placed her on speaker phone. The teacher couldn't explain why the incident wasn't reported and lied about how it happened. She claimed it was from a student throwing a block but the director saw my sons face and challenged her lie so then the teacher confessed that she wasn't watching the kids when it happened, she was addressing another parent and heard my son scream so she turned around and saw the girl run away. An incident report was made after the fact but nothing more was done. I then popped up and sat in during story time to observe. The same girl began dragging another girl by her hair and two other students thought it was cool and jumped in. The same teacher ignored the situation and was more focussed on finishing the story instead of defusing the situation and redirecting the trouble makers.Clearly the little girl have issues with keeping her hands to herself and no one cares to teach her either. I stepped in and handled the situation while she continued to read. I couldnt believe what i was witnessing. She needs to be fired! Consequently my son is no longer here. Why lie and cover up for a child's wrong doing? Why are you passive on bad behavior. Control your classroom ...unbelievable!
