Pembroke School

Our daughter started at Pembroke a few weeks ago, and we are beyond impressed with the experience so far. From day one, the teachers have shown such genuine care and attention—not just to our child, but to every single child in all the classrooms. They take the time to really get to know each child’s personality, needs, and preferences, which has made the transition so much smoother for our girl. As all parents know, it’s not easy leaving your little one in someone else’s hands all day. But Pembroke truly puts our minds at ease. The teachers send detailed updates and plenty of photos throughout the day, which help us stay connected and informed about what our daughter is doing and how she is feeling. Communication is a priority here, and that makes a huge difference. The owner, Lucy, is absolutely wonderful—her passion for children and early education shines through in everything she does. She has created a warm, welcoming environment that feels like an extension of home. You can tell she’s poured her heart into building a space where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to grow. We honestly couldn’t imagine sending our daughter anywhere else. It’s rare to find a place that blends professionalism with such a personal, heartfelt touch—and Pembroke does it beautifully.

We have two children at The Pembroke School, a two and a half year old and an infant. My two and a half year old has been at the daycare since he was 5 months old. Prior to his enrollment at The Pembroke School, our son had a nanny who walked out on us mid-shift without telling us. We were traumatized by this experience and wanted a daycare we could trust would give our son the best care. My husband and I were blown away by the excellent care he had received and continues to receive from The Pembroke School. The standards of care at this school are higher than any other schools we toured. My oldest son is now in the early preschool class and looks forward to going to school every day. It is a huge comfort knowing he is in such good hands. I look forward to seeing what learning activities he does each day because it is always something different. It is clear that a lot of thought and effort go into the curriculum, even for the younger classes! The daycare director, Lucy Miller, emphasizes that Pembroke caters to picky parents, and she couldn’t be more correct! I recommend The Pembroke School to everyone I know. Two of my family member’s children and my best friend’s children now attend the school as well. It is by far the best decision we have ever made relating to our children.

Pembroke school is absolutely amazing! Both of my kids have gone here for many years and they absolutely love it! The staff truly cares about each and every child that goes here! My kids have learned so much here, we are so glad we switched to Pembroke! My son needed help with his speech and the staff was more than happy to accommodate different learning techniques in order to help him with his speech delay. Because of their help he has been thriving! When we drop our kids off we are at ease knowing that our kids are safe and loved throughout the day!

We have been a part of the Pembroke School family for almost five years now. The school itself is clean, welcoming, and full of love. The caliber of the teaching staff is unmatched. However, the true draw of the school resides in the compassionate care assistanct daycare director, Kimberly, provides all of the students on the daily. Kudos to Pembroke! A true gem of the area.

There is no better daycare, hands down. My daughter thrived while in Pembroke. She came home everyday with a smile on her face. I knew when I dropped her off she would be safe and loved while in their care. They have a learning program that instills confidence and has your child ready to enter kindergarten. Lucy, Kim and all the teachers are amazing!
