Peace Lutheran Preschool

Very disappointed after having my child attend for a year. School did not have any events that involved parents, there were no school concerts. No special trips or events to involve parents. Went to open house to register my daughter for a second year since after that she will start Kindergarten. I did not want to have her going to three different schools over three years. I did not receive all the forms to enroll her even though we filled out what all that we were given from the open house. Called to talk to the office about the issue no one returned my call. I turned in all the forms given a second time along with deposit required. Check was cashed shortly after. Then a month and half after filling out enrollment information I received a notice that my child was on a lengthy waitlist for the class I requested and they will continue to hold my deposit in case there would be an opening come available. I tried again to contact the school to see if there was openings in other classes and once again no one has the decency to return my call. We have been so let down in numerous ways through out the year now this, I have lost a lot of respects and hopes that I had.

My 2 daughters who attended Peace Lutheran Preschool are now in high school and college. I thought it might be helpful to have an "older" perspective. My oldest attended Peace when she was 3 and 4. She also was part of a program called the Pier Model Program (sadly no longer exists), for selected 5 year olds who would not be going to Kindergarten because at that time Peace had not yet started their 5 year old program. My youngest attended from age 3 to 5. Both girls have VERY fond memories of Peace Preschool. I have never heard either of them say anything negative about their preschool years. They still get very excited when they see a teacher from that time in their life. The attention they receive in the small classrooms is amazing. To be taught by Christian people is a huge Godsend and the family involvement is like no other preschool. The 5 year old program is near and dear to my heart. It is the best program for parents who want their children to have that extra year at home (and graduate one year more mature) but don't want their education to stop or suffer. Both of my daughters began Kindergarten at the top of their class. I know Bev and all the Peace preschool teachers helped them to be the excellent students they are. We laugh still today when I ask one of the girls to say grace. They often sing one of the songs they learned years ago at Peace "We thank you God for giving us food, we thank you God for giving us food, We thank you Jesus for the food that you feed us, We thank you God. Amen" at the tune of the Superman movie theme. I highly recommend Peace Lutheran Preschool and it's staff that teach above and beyond and show God's love to their students, families and each other. You won't regret sending them and your children will love you for it.
