Pat-A-Cake Preschool is truly the best daycare and childcare center we could have ever hoped for. From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and care. The teachers are not only professional and attentive—they are genuinely loving individuals who treat our child as if she were one of their own. Every day, our daughter is greeted with smiles, hugs, and a nurturing environment that fosters both learning and emotional growth. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that each child feels safe, valued, and supported. It’s clear that they take pride in creating a space where children thrive. We’ve seen incredible development in our child since she started at Pat-A-Cake, and we attribute so much of that to the dedication and compassion of the teachers. Their ability to connect with each child on a personal level is nothing short of remarkable. If you’re looking for a preschool where your child will be loved, encouraged, and inspired every single day, Pat-A-Cake is the place.

This program is has meant a great deal to my family. I am an elementary school teacher so my daughter began Pat-a-Cake in the infant room when she was 4 months old. As a new mother, I was so nervous but I was blown away after meeting her teachers. They were warm, comforting and communicative. She could not have had a better start to her life. My daughter has since moved up through the toddler rooms and is now moving on to Pre-K. Each experience has been awesome. EVERY teacher in that building knows her and has shaped her into the kind and independent human she is today. I could not be more grateful for this great start to her education.

No other preschool director or teachers will care about your kid as much as Ms. Dorothy and her staff does. Our two children attend Pat-A-Cake and couldn't be happier to wake up every morning go off to school. We visited many schools in the surrounding area before applying to PAC, it was our first preference school. And that decision is reinforced each day. I know that they are in the best hands with the director Dorothy Heneghan in charge. Her warmth and loving spirit resonates throughout the whole school. It couldn't be more evident that this school is her passion. She provides unbelievable enrichment such as yoga instructors, musicians, field trips to the Bruce Museum, local restaurants as part of their healthy eating curriculum and so much more. I consider Dorothy and her staff an extension of our family. I highly recommended this top notch program that not only fosters our children's growth, but encourages kindness, compassion, and individuality

As working parents with family out of state, we were confronted with the all too real (and scary) task of finding reliable childcare for our then 5 month-old daughter. After countless phone calls and facility tours, we are eternally grateful that we landed on the doorsteps of Pat-A-Cake (PAC). From the first introductory visit, we felt at home in the care of PAC’s director, Dorothy, and her exceptional staff. With her long-standing career in early childhood education backing her and many years of engaging with local families, Dorothy immediately understood our wants, needs and insecurities. Her hug and reassuring words on that first drop-off day meant the world. We grew as a family while at PAC and were comforted to have a warm, nurturing, and trusted space for our son to join his sister. Our children flourished while at PAC, making lasting friendships with classmates and strong connections with their incredible caretakers. Despite relocating our family out of state, we continue to feel a close bond with the PAC team, many of whom have longevity with the program, and enjoy the sweet periodic updates and check-ins from staff. For those that find themselves in a similar situation of having to place your child(ren) in a childcare setting, we can’t possibly capture with worlds the safety, security and peace of mind that can be found at PAC.

My children have been at Pat-A-Cake since they were in the infant room at five months old. We have made our way up to the Pre K room and have loved every stop along the way. The facility is clean and filled with fun and education material for the children. My children have made wonderful friends in their classes and have connected with each of their teachers. It is obviously that the staff cares deeply for the children and they go above and beyond to make the environment both fun and education. The socialization, education and nurturing my children have experience here have been priceless. We enjoy seeing smiling parents in the parking lot and happy kids running inside to see their teachers in the morning. I cannot recommend Pat-A-Cake enough!
