What Parents Say
These reviews do not appear to be for a childcare center, but rather for a retreat center and religious facility. The facility is praised as a peaceful, scenic location with walking trails, disc golf, and spiritual programming. Reviewers consistently highlight the welcoming atmosphere, well-maintained grounds, and meaningful retreat experiences.
I recently attended a weekend women’s retreat with my church at this Christian campsite, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The facilities were well-kept and welcoming, and the environment was so tranquil and peaceful. The property even has a pond, which created such a calming place for meditation and reflection. I enjoyed the short walks around the grounds, which gave us plenty of quiet moments with nature. They also have games and activities available that are perfect for group retreats, adding fun and fellowship to the weekend. The meals were decent overall—breakfast and lunch were okay, but I didn’t really enjoy the dinner options. If you are considering hosting a wedding here, I would recommend bringing in outside catering if that’s allowed. Overall, this is a beautiful, peaceful place to recharge spiritually and connect with others. I would highly recommend it for church groups, retreats, or anyone seeking a quiet getaway.
Beautiful vistas and walking trails. They also have disc golf, tennis, and a climbing wall. Sign in at the Welcome Center kiosk since this is private property that allows registered visitors.
This Episcopal-run retreat center in rural Washington county is a gem. I went there several times with my teenage sons' church youth group for weekend retreats precovid. I recently went to a contemplative day retreat and rediscovered what a peaceful and welcoming place this is.
Serene, scenic trails of sloping meadows and hills invites a stroll for the calming of the soul. Built for standing through the onslaught of the years are many welcoming structures that welcome to enter and be comforted by their strength and calming use of materials maintained to instill a sense of permanence. Offered are many events and facilities for relief from the onslaught of our struggles. Returned is the Tuesday lunch buffet, where empty seats at round tables beckon to join the comradery and learn what is offered here. Continuing to an outdoor covered veranda allows dining while a breeze, views and the sweet sensation of fresh cut grass calms and beckons us to return to a more fruitful state of mind and soul. The sparrows will not let our careless droppings go to waste.
We really appreciate that this place allows visitors because they have a nice disc golf course. Just fill out a visitor pass on their website. Front nine are out in the open around the church buildings. Back nine are in the woods and uniquely layed out and lots of fun to play.
