If I could give 0 stars I would. If you have a strong willed child (seems to be more of an issue with little boys) PLEASE READ THIS. Our son was enrolled at PHB CDC at age two and went through some difficult behavioral milestones (biting, hitting, pushing, tantrums, crying in time out - all behaviors he learned and experienced being around other children while in daycare). We were told our son was delayed, these behaviors were abnormal, and we needed to have him evaluated. He was evaluated by his pediatrician and a team of child therapists and considered to be advanced for his age (not delayed) and these “abnormal” behaviors were all deemed developmentally appropriate and normal for his age (start around 18 months and lessen near age 4). All professional assessments were provided to the director (Melissa), were ignored and our son was removed from the program. This is not an isolated incident. We have come across a growing number of professional families (even parents who are child therapists - SERIOUSLY) who have been through this exact same situation at this center. Staff are not well trained in handling children who are going through these tough phases (especially those children who may be more stubborn), get stressed/flustered easily, and the director will tell you there is something wrong with your child > despite professional assessment and written opinions. If you are considering enrolling your child here ask these questions - how many of your staff, including the director, hold degrees in early childhood development? How are children disciplined for “bad” or challenging BUT developmentally NORMAL behaviors and how does the center help your child work through and overcome these challenges? What continuing education do they require their staff to receive in these areas? Oh, and be sure to ask why they choose to no longer participate in the AR Better Beginnings program? Yes, PHB CDC, our son was NOT a good fit for your program. He deserved better. Parents…ALWAYS advocate for your children.
The staff are so friendly and I wouldn’t change a thing about the CDC daycare program. We loved every bit of our 4 years there! If you are looking for a great daycare with nurturing, kind, super-attentive, educational, loving staff, this is the place for you. We have outgrown the program by age, but go back for summers. We love, love, love everyone there and so grateful for how much they love our child!
Great pastor, great music, absolutely wonderful youth program! If you are looking for a place to worship that makes you feel like family, you found it!!
Best Daycare and there isn't even a close second. Very safe!! There are cameras in every single room and hallways. To get inside to pick your children up your given a code to get inside and then have to enter your code to open any other door inside the daycare. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that it is very expensive.
A fantastic church!! People were very friendly and the pastor is an excellent teacher with a great sense of humor.
