Palisades Country Day School

PCDC is truly a special place. My daughter has been going to camp there for the past three summers and she looks forward to it all year; seeing her friends, doing fun activities, and being part of such a warm, welcoming environment. Even though she’s not a student during the year, she was made to feel right at home from day one. The counselors are amazing, kind, attentive and really know how to connect with kids. My daughter has already said that when she’s a teenager, she wants to be a counselor at PCDC too! We love the weekly themes, the garden, pottery, and especially the pool and splash pad. Lunches are healthy and kid-friendly, and before/after care has been a huge help for our family. The before/after-camp programs like drama, soccer and cheer are also fantastic. The staff is incredibly responsive and truly gets to know each child. I’ll never forget one morning when there was a minor car incident, my daughter was fine, but the counselor immediately noticed something was off and followed up later to check on her. That level of care is just one example of what makes PCDC so special. We've made lasting connections with other families through camp and we’re so grateful to be part of this amazing community.

Palisades Country Day School has been an amazing place for my daughter. This is her second year here, and the confidence she has gained is incredible. She truly enjoys the curriculum, the enrichments, and spending time with her peers — it’s a school she looks forward to every day. Her teachers, Ms. Ivezaj and Mrs. Fabiano, have been incredible — warm, patient, and truly attentive. She’s learning so much and growing beautifully as she prepares for kindergarten next year, and I couldn’t be more grateful. A special thank you as well to Mrs. Guerra and Mrs. Fabiano for their kindness, reassurance, and constant smiles. They treat the children as if they were their own, and that level of care and nurturing means everything. We’re so happy to be part of the PCDS family and truly appreciate all they do for our children.

This is my daughters 3rd year at PCDS and Ms. Ivezaj and Mrs. Fabiano have been absolutely amazing! Ms. Ivezaj has been so attentive to my daughters emotional needs as well as her academic needs! I truly believe at this young age their emotional needs outweigh academics and I’m so happy to say she gets both! Mrs. Fabiano is so sweet with the kids and you can tell she truly loves being there for them! They make learning fun for the children and have been so creative with the activities! I couldn’t ask for a better duo for my daughters last year at PCDS, they truly are a godsend!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Palisades! The staff is incredibly warm and attentive, making every child feel special and loved. They create a nurturing environment where my son feels safe to explore and learn. The activities are engaging and age appropriate, fostering both creativity and independence. I appreciate how they communicate with parents and keep us involved in our child's progress. I truly feel fortunate to have found such a fantastic place for my son!

Palisades country day is amazing for both camp and school. It is run by generations of educators, and Laura Hubschman, the executive director, is very diligent and proactive, getting involved in all aspects of the school. They have a lot of fun and special activities to engage the children and a lot of effort gets put into running everything smoothly. Communication has been excellent. And safety is taken very seriously. I could not be happier with my decision to send my kids here.
