A Truly Special Place That Feels Like Family The Our Small World teachers are exceptional—nurturing, patient, and committed to each child’s growth. We have watched our children blossom socially and academically, and we’re so grateful for the strong foundation they have received here. Our daughter attended OSW for three wonderful years, and even now—multiple years later—she still talks about her teachers and friends with so much love. That lasting connection speaks volumes about the warmth and care she experienced every day. Now, our son is attending, and we’re just as impressed. The teachers have helped him develop essential preschool social skills in such a gentle and encouraging way. He’s not only made friends in his own class, but with children across the entire school—which really shows the strong, inclusive community they’ve built. One element we have greatly appreciated is that at festivities such as the annual Spring Celebration and the Halloween party, siblings are always welcomed with open arms. I agree with other reviews mentioning the many advantages including the very accommodating hours of operation, the fact that breakfast and lunch is offered, the wonderful outdoor playground, and the staff-student ratio. However, the best thing about Our Small World is the genuine love and care the teachers have extended to our whole family over the years. We’re so grateful to be part of this amazing community and wholeheartedly recommend Our Small World to any family looking for a loving, enriching start to their child’s education.
Both of our boys are excited to go to Our Small World every day! The class sizes are small, so the student:teacher ratio is unmatched in the area. Our older son is moving on to Kindergarten this coming August and I know that he is well prepared socially, emotionally and academically thanks to the love and care that the teachers pour into the kids. Teachers show up consistently and are extremely reliable, which matters for working parents especially. Further, they supported my youngest through potty training and were extremely supportive and flexible. Additionally, Our Small World has a fantastic, large playground, which is a huge draw. Next to the playground is an open, grassy area where they host Soccer Shots and other outdoor events. Lastly, the price is right considering local alternatives. Highly recommend!
We’ve had the absolute best experience with Our Small World! Our son Charlie has been attending for the past two years, and we truly couldn't be happier. From the very beginning, the staff made us feel completely at ease, and it was clear how much they genuinely care for each and every child. Charlie looks forward to going every single day — he absolutely adores his teachers and has built such strong friendships with the other kids. It's amazing to see how much he’s grown socially, emotionally, and academically thanks to the nurturing and engaging environment they’ve created. Both of our girls attended Our Small World from ages ~2-5, and we were so pleased with our years there. Because it is a local, family-run business, OSW feels like a family to the students. The teachers and administration are flexible, realistic, caring and genuine. We love that they provide nutritious meals and a snack. They have a huge outdoor playground, which is hard to find in most childcare centers. They also offer activities like soccer, JumpBunch, and science classes during school hours, which allows for more family time in the evenings and on weekends. The teachers work individually with students and adjust academic and developmental teaching to each student. Both my girls were early readers, and the teachers at OSW fostered their love of reading so that they were proficient by the time they started Kindergarten. They host holiday celebrations, summer camps, and special events to keep the curriculum and activities fresh and exciting. We can't recommend Our Small World enough!
Our Small World is the best. We have sent multiple children to Ms. Maria, Rima and Christina and have always felt like they are in a caring, safe environment. In the five years we've been there the teachers have remained the same the entire time, which is almost unheard of. If you're worried that the building isn't some modern, gleaming structure don't be! It's not a corporate daycare facility but that is what makes it great. It's like leaving your kids with family!
