The daycare is good for infant care, but I would look elsewhere as your child becomes toddler and older. The staff even told me that and I should have listened. There's no real curriculum and they never held teacher conferences with me despite saying they were going to schedule them over the years. I've been working with my kid to get him caught up because his new daycare is so much more advanced with curriculum. I think the staff care about the children and I felt safe leaving him there, but overall the program is medicore at best. It is sad to see good staff leave or hear staff talk about the quality of the program because they care and want more for the kids. There are better places in Lawrence to send your children if you want your kids to have a strong educational program.
We witnessed children left alone in classrooms on multiple occasions, infants sleeping in swings, which is a state licensing violation, sharing pacifiers, teachers on their phone while watching children. when I brought my concerns to the owners attention, she agreed that this wasn’t OK, but also said the teachers needed some slack since most of them were just college girls.
We have our twins at the center since they were 6 months old and they are now 3 and a half. We have loved our experience. The staff truely care about the children and both kids have learned so much. I would highly recommend it to others for their care, affordability, flexibility, and inclusiveness.
