If you are looking for basic daycare, then OUAT will probably be an okay fit for your family. Most of the kids honestly seemed very happy! Just not mine! Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience at OUAT. The toddler 1 classroom was seemingly just children running around with minimal interaction from the teachers- besides sometimes holding them, dancing with them, or a brief circle time in the morning and an occasional project. The primary teacher in the room was VERY nice, but she had 7 other kids to care for! It just seemed chaotic. There was a limited selection of toys that were not developmentally appropriate, no reading, no story time, or any puzzles/ group games. It was mostly the teachers watching the children parallel play. I will say the kids were safe, fed, and napped. I would watch my son on the camera crying most of the day, wandering around the room bored just looking for some guidance. He would come home dirty, with bright red eyes, and dried tears. Granted, this was just my experience and I can only speak for the Toddler 1 room. My son is advanced for his age - so this just wasn't the right fit as he needs more attention & he loves to learn.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this daycare! The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure the children are happy and well taken care of. My son absolutely loves it here and has made so many friends. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the educational activities they provide are both fun and enriching. I feel completely at ease knowing my son is in such good hands. Highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing environment for their child! I also love the fact that I can acess cameras at anytime to see what my son is doing that very moment. The facility has multiple playgrounds, where kids can learn & develop while playing with and learning from their peers! As a single mom, the daycare has helped me tremendously since we’ve started and I couldn’t be more glad of the support system the Gina had provided for us. 😊
My daughter goes there and honestly I love it. This is the first time she is not in my care and the amazing staff not only worked with us in the beginning by understanding that this is a new experience for us but also made her feel comfortable and welcomed so she got confident and started to enjoy being there in no time. Her teachers are always willing to comfort her when she feels uncertain and although is never easy being away from her I feel like I can be at peace knowing she is in a safe and fun environment.
My original review of this place was deleted in error. Prior to that this center had not received an online review in over a year. If I could give ZERO stars I would. My wife & I both gave this center a 1 star review and in less than 24 hours it got 8 (5) star reviews. 1 of the reviews are from the owner’s daughter who is also an employee here. My child was in this program and was having a hard time adjusting as he reached his toddler phase. The owner (Gina) suggested birth to 3 services which only were allowed to come once. She also claimed she had no contact with them and did not know when and if they were coming. As far as my child’s progress she compared it to training a group of golden retrievers and he being the German shepherd of the group? I am not dog owner and can’t begin to fathom how you compare training children to dogs. Birth to 3 said he has so much potential to improve and the staff did not appear to be trained to handle him. We were initially given 2 week notice once the owner determined she could not care for him anymore. When I was informed of this I refused to sign anymore of her reports. This then prompted her to make his next day his last (1 day notice) which is totally unfair and unreasonable when you work FT. Lastly, I will say this her employee who helped gather his belongings for me on his last day told me she was heartbroken to see him go and told me she loved him. She went on to tell me about other issues that occurred in this center including lawsuits that had I not known about or I would have never brought my child here. The last 2 months they made me feel my child was disabled, birth to 3 has been wonderful in assuring me this could not be further from the truth.
This daycare is absolutely fabulous. Gina, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable, not only about child development in general but also about each individual child that attends her center. She is honest and trustworthy. The staff is enthusiastic, attentive, and they take wonderful care of the children in their rooms. The curriculum is age-appropriate, fun and creative. Gina is very communicative and will give you her time if you have a question, big or small. The center's reaction to COVID was better than could ever have been expected, keeping the children's safety in mind 100% of the time while being open and communicative with parents. I highly recommend this daycare to all parents- they will exceed your expectations in every way and make you thankful everyday that your child is a student there.
