What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Ollie Academy LLC (also referred to as Guidepost Montessori) for its warm, nurturing Montessori environment and dedicated staff. Children reportedly show marked improvement in confidence, independence, social skills, and academic performance. Families describe the facility as a welcoming community rather than just a childcare center.
From the moment I toured this beautiful campus, met the kindest staff and saw the happy students, I knew it was the place for my son. I have been a stay at home mom for my sons first year so it was very important I got an excellent first impression and nothing about this school fell short!! James, the director, creates such a wonderful environment as soon as you enter the facility. My son’s teachers already notice his strengths and are guiding him to be more independent and confident. If you’ve been thinking about where you want to bring your child for care, this Montessori school is the only place you should consider!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Guidepost Montessori at Paradise Valley has been amazing for our family. The teachers are caring, the community is welcoming, and my children have grown so much in confidence and independence. We couldn’t be happier!
Parents — I strongly recommend checking the Arizona Department of Health Services licensing website to see the complaint history for this school before enrolling your child. I’m writing this review to warn other parents about our heartbreaking experience at Guidepost PV. Our 3-year-old son sustained a second-degree burn while in their care —caused by boiling water being present in the classroom. Shockingly, the school did not call 911, and their communication around the incident was vague, inconsistent, and misleading. We later discovered that what was initially shared with us was not the full truth, which could have seriously impacted his medical treatment. Even more alarming: the teacher who was responsible for supervising the classroom at the time of the injury was not dismissed or held accountable in any meaningful way and is STILL at the school. This lack of action speaks volumes about how the administration prioritizes liability over child safety. Even prior to this, we had serious concerns. When I first enrolled my son, he was just two years old and came home repeatedly with unexplained bites and bruises. I expressed my concern to Acacia Gilmer, one of the directors. Her response was not only dismissive but incredibly manipulative and condescending. She told me: “You must be a new parent. Unless it’s happened more than 15 times, it’s not a big deal,” and went on to suggest that I teach my toddler how to protect himself. That kind of attitude toward child safety is unacceptable. While some of the teachers at this school are loving and well-intentioned, the school itself is run incredibly poorly. Leadership has shown a disturbing lack of accountability, transparency, and genuine care for the children in their care. Many of the positive reviews you see are from former teachers who are no longer with the school and were told to leave reviews. Our experience, particularly under the current leadership, was deeply disappointing.
I have experience working with children at many different schools and some of the things that sets Guidepost apart are that the classrooms are more calm than most traditional/charter settings, the children have enriching materials to work with, and the children are more focused on their work. You can tell the children are well-cared for and that the staff are passionate about their job. I highly recommend this school!
Amazing school, it's fantastic for my daughter because she learns best with hands on activities and real life applications. They learn school subjects and life skills! She bonded with the staff and students so much she keeps asking to come back to visit!!
