i enrolled my son when he was a few months old till about 1 years old. He would come home with all kind of marks and bruises on him. Come to find out, they stated there was a little girl who would basically be hitting on the other kids in her class. No one told us this at all until my baby came home with a bite mark on him and scratches all over his face. One of the teachers actually told me that this little girl gave another child a black eye. Everything is very outdated and not organized. Staff is shorthanded. There were only 2 teachers i trusted with my son. One retired and the other ended up leaving but unknown reasons but im sure it was because of the hot mess of the daycare that was going on. They were the only ones that looked after my son and treated him like their own. My baby now has scares till this day because of unknown things that were going on at this daycare. DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE. on top of that, they would put the wrong shoes etc on the children so its been a ton of things of my sons i had to replace because they gave another person my sons things or may have taken it themselves. The owners are nice but honestly have no clue what goes on at that daycare. when I set down and met with them and other staff about whats going on they pretty much did nothing. I still have photos and recordings of when i took photos of my son and recordings of what the staff members stated when they tried to explain everything to me. I am a very over protective mom so you could only imagine how i freaked out when my baby returned to me with marks all over him. He's such a sweet child and loves everyone. even if they have treated him badly that broke my heart. I instantly removed my son from this daycare. the lack of communication and accountability was just horrible. There were never any updates regarding the child being removed who was hitting on the other kids other than they are still looking into it. Whatever you do please do not take your babies here. Saving a few dollars is no where near worth my childs safety.
It's obvious that the staff really love the kids. My daughter is always sad to leave and has lots of fun stories when she gets home. A very friendly, personable and convenient place. They have always been extremely flexible with our changing schedules AND they are reasonably priced. Win.
OFA is an excellent daycare! They seem to love what they do and it shows when my kids come home happy in the afternoons. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They are always willing to make an extra effort to ensure both the parents happiness and well as the kids. I have had very few issues with them in the 2 years I have had my kids there and I will recommend them to anyone looking for a daycare in Murfreesboro!
My two children have attended OFA over the last school year and it has been a great experience; especially for my youngest that just turned 5. My son has a speech delay and has needed a lot if help getting on track with his peers and Mrs.LeRanda and the other teachers in the pre-k class have done an excellent job getting him up to speed. The quality of care surpasses other pricier establishments we've paid for in the past.
Old fort academy is amazing...i dont think anyone could quite express how amazing this facility is until you experience it! I recently pulled my kids out bc of where my job is located it was just next to impossible to make it everywhere i needed to pick up all my children by 6pm. Needless to say i cried my eyes out their last day. I took my kids to a new facility shortly after.. after arriving i sooned realized they were never going to compare to old fort...without going into detail about what happened...i called the director, brian, at old fort and begged he let my kids come back unexpected that morning, without hesitation he told me to bring them in he will be happy to have them back. As soon as i walked in the director and all the teachers welcomed us back with open arms and my boys were so excited to be back with their teachers. I have come to a conclusion to get a part time nanny to help with transportation bc amazing care for our babies is hard to come by and there is no place that can compare to these folks. I will never take my babies anywhere else until kindergarten...again their isnt a review in the world to cover how awesome this facility is..all i can say is you have to experience it!
