My son started here at 14 months and has been attending for about 3 months, so I can speak to our experience in the one-year-old room. Ms Lisa, Ms Cherie and Ms Jazmin are phenomenal!! They have all been doing this a while so I felt confident leaving him there. My son cried at drop off for about a month, as he had stayed at home prior to starting at TOG. Now, he hugs his teachers and ignores me when he gets there. I really feel that they care for him and he is happy there. He seems to be learning a lot. He has learned to play independently and eat better since starting at TOG. I love that TOG provides so much good food! The leadership, Amber and Cheryl, are great as well. We are happy to have found this daycare!
TOG has been a staple in our family since 2021. I cannot say enough good things about this school. Both of my children attend TOG and I truly trust them to provide safe and loving care to my children. TOG has been serving the Richardson community for decades, when you walk inside the building it feels warm and inviting and full of love. I could write a novel. The teachers are amazing (all of them, every single one). They work so hard and do so much for all the children in their care. There are no wards to describe how thankful I am for all that they do. Ms. Chasity is hands down the best chef, I know she feeds my babies so well and I’m so thankful for her. Ms. Amber and Ms. Carol are top notch as directors and communicate so well with the parents. TOG is home for our family, I will be so sad when my son starts kindergarten in a few years but I know he will be so prepared and ready for all the challenges because TOG has provided him a solid foundation to learn and grow. TOG is the BEST!!
My daughter attends TOG and loves going to school every day. The teachers are wonderful and chef Linda makes a great variety of food for the lunches that contain nitrite free meats. They are super organized and send out a monthly newsletter with lunch/snack menu, a daily report card, and a weekly lesson plan. I can highly recommend The Octopus Garden!
The very first morning we dropped off our oldest son at The Octopus Garden, I was sad getting into my car, that mommy feeling of longing for her child. Another dad, getting into his car, recognized my feelings and reassured me with a smile and “Don’t worry. Pretty soon it will feel like family!” He was right. The Octopus Garden has become all three of my children’s home-away-from-home. They feel safe. They are loved. They learn. They have good friends. It’s a preschool where manners and kindness are taught along with the ABCs and 123s. It is a very special place, a place that is governed by Love. Now when I drop my kids off at The Octopus Garden, they run in happy! They are greeted with smiles and hugs and everyone is eager to begin the day. Each week they are introduced to new concepts, books, activities and are fed healthy meals. The dedicated teachers at The Octopus Garden have become our true allies in parenting. They are our friends and they do indeed feel like our family. My husband and I are comforted with the knowledge that our kids are being provided with the same care and kindness that we provide in our home. We feel so blessed to have The Octopus Garden as our preschool!
We are currently in the middle of our second week. WE LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! We recently moved and my daughter started a new daycare. She would kick and scream and I couldn't even bribe her to walk into the daycare without a fight. We decided it was best to try another daycare, even if that meant starting all over trying to get her use to a new place. I was fully prepared for her to kick and scream, BUT since day one she has walked right in without any trouble or any bribing. She waves bye to me and blows me kisses. Mrs. Janet made her feel so comfortable and caught her interest as soon as she stepped into the classroom. Everyone there have been so kind and helpful. Also, the ladies upfront have been so informative on how things work around the facility. I know this is a lengthy post, but I just want to explain how this place is getting us through all these life changes we've recently made. We're so thankful to have found it!
