What Parents Say
These reviews are not about the daycare's childcare services, but rather about the church's worship services and facilities. Reviewers consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere, quality of music and preaching, and hospitable staff across multiple Sunday services.
I like the church and pastor Terry is a great pastor I love his presentation of the Bible. Maybe it's just me but I don't know why they keep it so dark in there I can't even hardly find a seat I have to stand there for like 5 minutes for my eyes to adjust to be able to see a chair. That and I like to be able to look at people in the congregation. Other than that it's a great church but I'm not sure if I'm going to return anymore I just walked out of the service cuz I got tired of waiting for my eyes to adjust to see for a chair
Went here for a play, I have no idea about the actual church and services but the building was beautiful and the church folks that were hosting there were very hospitable. They really showed the hands and feet of Jesus, opening their doors to allow this play and all the work that comes with that. As a pastor myself I understand how taxing these things can be on top of all the ministry and devices that are already in place.
This church kicked a church member behind closed doors for being falsely being accused of being gay. No prove no evidence only hear say from someone that they never met that attended there over 20 years prior. Kicked them out of choir and praise team and told them they were not even allowed to come into the church to tell people bye after they were kicked out and told they couldn’t attend and this person had a degree in church music and was very gifted and served this church well. Lots of nasty things go on behind closed doors at Ocean view Baptist , Pastor Terry is the ring leader of lots of bad decisions and hurting people and the church for his own agenda!!!
Nope. Didn't feel the spirit much here. Worship/singing was ok, but not very inspirational - basically the same song (key, beat, pace, etc) with different words. The singers were very good. The woman at one entrance of the sanctuary apparently felt like it was her job to touch everyone on the arm as they walked by her, to guide them in - like children? Preacher was a performer, lacked authenticity, didn't seem genuine to me. His sermon lacked focus. Spent way too much time on a simple analogy. Instead of "hunger & thirst for justice" being about 'desire' or 'desire for good' it was something else. Instead of 'justice' being about praying for God's justice and will it was something else. He didn't talk to those who experienced injustice in their lives at time - which would be an obvious thing to do. They focus on chasing happiness rather than having a meaningful life. Instead of focusing on asking for God's will in your life, to be dependent on God - he had a few trivial examples of 'try to do it yourself'. He didn't mention Jesus much at all. So in my opinion the sermon was kind of a performance that didn't hit the meaningful aspects of the scripture.
Exceptional fellowship and music. A true blessing to experience this outpouring of Christian love. The musicians should be thanked for all the time they must spend preparing for this fellowship experience. Thank you to Pastor David for teaching about the origin of Yahweh Yireh. Blessings to this church family . I’m new here, and loving it.
